The two primary 2016 Presidential candidates include the infamous Hillary Clinton that represent the Democratic Party, and the infamous Donald Trump who represents the Republican Party. The two political representatives share little to no common grounds on their policies, but they share a considerable amount of differences in their future plans for America. Where do they stand? Who is correct? Which candidate is the right candidate for America? Who do we, the people, want to represent America for the next possible eight years? These are the question that the people have been asking themselves because frankly the choices for the 2016 presidential election are not in our favor. There is a possibly corrupt politician running and a closet racist …show more content…
Hillary is leading her charge with an unorthodox approach, she will be following a family first plan to reach her goals (Long). Hillary intends to begin her presidency with the complete rework of our nation. She will dedicate her first 100 days to infrastructure, manufacturing, research and technology, clean energy, and small businesses (Clinton). This is crucial to her administration because it will show that she is taking the initiative to commence the rework of the nation. The best way to create a better economy is to make more jobs for the nation. This will include tax cuts for the middle class and any small business hoping to rise through the ranks (Amadeo). The way she will better our economy is by enforcing companies all over the states to enact a policy that will allow for maternal leave with benefits (Amedeo). This policy will not only increase the income for many families across the nation, but it will also increase the amount of women that enter the workforce. This is great because the workforce mainly consist of men, and by doing this she will enforce equal gender rights. Hillary is making sure that the people of America are equally treated under the constitution. The Hillary Energy Plan will give 9 billion dollars annually to …show more content…
Donald has a plan for the economy to create 25 million jobs for the economy over the course of his “eight year” presidency. Trump is advocating a plan that will see to give tax cuts to every income status (Trump). He will simplify the tax bracket in hopes of better classifications in the economy. Trump has a plan for infrastructure that primarily involves the natural oil that the United States has. Trump wants to use North Dakota to secure an independent oil market, he wishes to stop the importation of oil from OPEC and create trillions of dollars in wealth (Tump). With the revenue from the oil rigs in North Dakota Trump will use the money to rebuild schools, roads, bridges, and public infrastructure (Trump). This would be a great plan towards economic stability, but keep in mind that the Keystone Pipeline cam and will greatly hurt the American people. It can bring thousands of jobs, but it will also destroy sacred indigenous lands as well as bring potential oil spills to the environment (Trump). The difference between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump policy on economic stability is Clinton wants to tax the rich while Trump wants to alienate the United States from the world and destroy lives concurrently. Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump do share some similarities in their economic policies. They both believe the United States should urge the increased spending on public infrastructure (Jacobson).
This has been one of the most fascinating political seasons in recent history. The level of discourse and potential scandals on both sides has increased my attention level. Rather you support either of these candidates, both the fringe candidates from the left and the right both have struck a chord with a lot of people. Whether either of them wins their party’s nomination and becomes the president is still left to be decided. Mainstream political pundits and major social institutions have either condemned or flatly said that some of these candidates’ proposals are not feasible, but to the electorate that doesn’t seem to matter. There has been a lot of commotion about a brokered Republican convention even though it seems that there will be one
It is obvious the Republican Party has no brains. If they elect Donald Trump to run for president, they are going to lose big time. They can blame themselves for being so stupid. The establishment runs the Republican Party. They are the ones who lose major elections. The leadership of the Republican Party shifts the blame to conservative wing of the Republican Party; however, it is the moderate wing of the Republican Party who loses elections. Does John McClain ring a bell? If the Republican Party hopes to win the presidency, they must run a conservative or face another trouncing in the next election. It is that simple. Therefore, the Republicans had better wake up fast if they want to
She also repeats the word “If women” followed by “will”, this gives a cause and a positive effect. Good outcomes come with good actions. Hillary’s credibility does not get call into question when she says she has been working in the case “Over the past 25 years, I have worked persistently on issues relating to women, children, and families” this is the way she knows a lot about women and their necessities “I/ve had the opportunity to learn more about the challenges facing women in my country and around the
Clinton repeats the words “If women” followed by “will” (Clinton), this gives the audience a reason to accept her propositions. Good outcomes come with good actions. When she concluded her speech, Hillary kept using the repetition of the words dignity, respect, family and children. Clinton’s credibility is not questioned when she says she has been working in the case, “Over the past 25 years, I have worked persistently on issues relating to women, children, and families” (Clinton) this is the way she knows about women and their necessities, “I’ve had the opportunity to learn more about the challenges facing women in my country and around the world” (Clinton). Her goal is definite, “To strengthen families and societies by empowering women to take greater control over their own destinies”( Clinton). This change will not only affect women, but everyone who surrounds them.
Donald Trump is a highly successful business titan, real estate mogul, reality television personality, and now a 2016 presidential candidate. Since announcing his candidacy this past June, he has been very loquacious on his views pertaining to foreign policy. He takes a very realist approach when addressing these issues. His views are very much in line with the belief that the international political arena is not dominated by altruistic ideologies, but rather nation-states that are self-interested. His foreign policy platform centers on using hard power to achieve America’s goals in the Middle East and to eradicate illegal immigration.
The 2016 presidential election has been one of the most talked about elections because of one man, Donald Trump. When the billionaire real estate mogul announced that he would be running for the Republican Party candidacy in the 2016 presidential election, he sent this country into an uproar. Donald Trump, who has never shied away from the media, has become one of the most talked about presidential candidate in history. On the day of his announcement for the republican candidacy, he sparked controversy because of his comment about the Mexican people, stating:
In the midst of one of the most controversial presidential elections in history, both political parties are struggling to prove that their candidate is the best choice. Clinton and Trump’s disapproval ratings are very low, but one has to ask, is there really a lesser evil to choose from? While Clinton has had her own fair share of past discrepancies, Trump’s track record proves much more troublesome. Donald Trump has proven to be an untrustworthy presidential candidate because of his misogynistic actions, his racial bias, and his corrupt business history.
Some people believe her values are “a result of having lived through the depression” (Harris 673). She has seen the worst and hopes to make things better for her people. As a child, Clinton was “earning merit badges in girl scouts and starring in the girls softball league” (Harris 674). She has always believed women were smart and strong. Earning badges and playing sports might not seem like much, but it taught a young Clinton that women can do anything they set their mind to. Clinton went off to college and met her husband Bill Clinton there. As the couple got older, Bill decided he wanted to run for president. Hillary “went to Indiana to coordinate the campaign” (Harris 678) for Bill. From the start to the end of Bill’s presidency, Hillary was “extremely active in government affairs” (Hurley 204). She “[emphasized] the need for a global feminist agenda” (Hurley 204-205). Even though Bill was the president, Hillary applied herself as if she were the president. She encouraged equality for genders. Her speech “Women’s Rights Are Human Rights” was given right in the middle of Bill’s presidency. She used her economic power to create awareness of the gender inequality in the
I believe that we need a change in America and I personally think that Donald Trump is going to be the president to bring us the change that is needed to make America great again. His views on gun control, which is that it is unnecessary, and his ideals to bring jobs back to America from china are all good thing that Americans needs. He has a lot of great ideas, and some not so great, in my opinion, that he has to offer if he becomes the President of the United States in the next election. Hillary Clinton is not necessary a bad choice for America, I just believe that she wants to lead us down the same path that we have been on for the last 8 years. We need a huge change and Donald Trump can give us that.
The Presidential debate between secretary of state Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump was very intense. It showed to voters where each candidate stands and their plans for the country when it comes to our well-being, financial situations, security, and more specifically the nation’s future.
This years Presidential candidates are on opposite sides of the spectrum. With Clinton rerunning for presidency and Trump running as a first-time candidate with no political experience has made for an interesting election. Trump is running for the Republican party and Clinton is running for the Democratic party. This election has been viewed by millions because of how intense and interesting it has been, but only one has caught my attention. In this election, I would vote for Trump based off of what I consider to be the best option concerning what he brings to the table.
That statement alone gained thousands of Hispanic voters. another good comment that Hillary Clinton has made is If a country doesn't recognize minority rights and human rights, including women's rights, you will not have the kind of stability and prosperity that is possible”. Hillary has proposed equal rights several times before and with this statement she reinforces her position with equal rights. Both Trump and Hillary have different views on economy.
Many Americans are beginning to wonder who will run as the Democratic candidate for the next president of the United States. Since the 2008 election, one particular name has been the topic of conversation around most media outlets and households across the county. With over one million supporters who believe in her abilities to lead, Hillary Clinton possesses the qualities that meet the leadership criteria that would help her to become the leader of the free world. I choose to research Hillary Clinton because I admire the drive and passion she puts into her work. She is a unique global leader whose activism has promoted social change around the world.
As both "conservatism" and "liberalism" have had various meanings sooner or later and transversely countries, the word liberal conservatism has been used in relatively different sanity. In political science, the word is used to pass on to ideologies that merge the support of capitalism, for instance value for contracts, protection of private property and free market require reference to validate with the principle in natural discrimination, the significance of religion, and the worth of traditional integrity need reference to validate in the course of a construction of inadequate, legitimate, representative government (Abdou & Zaazou 2013). It contrasts with traditional liberalism and particularly aristocratic conservatism, rejecting the belief of correspondence as a little in discordance with human nature, instead emphasizing the thought of natural inequality (Crozier. 2012).As the conservative thought in democratic countries hold typical liberal institutions such as the rule of law, private property, market economy, and constitutional representative government, the liberal factor of liberal conservatism
Jill Stein is the Green Party candidate running for President of the United States of America. The Green Party views are focused on improving the middle class and helping the environment. Since 2015 was the hottest year on record and 2016 is most likely to beat that, Jill Stein’s plan for the economy is the Green New Deal. Although I am young, I’m not too concerned with global warming. I feel scientists will come up with ways to handle global warming, for example GMOs. The Green New Deal focusses on creating jobs by investing in clean energy and green jobs. The idea of green jobs has been seen as the possible renewal of the labor market. The government has been viewed by many economists as the savior of the failing market by investing in new
