Does it benefit a working adult to get an education, or not? Plenty of people in this world have made millions of dollars without an education. However, the number of people who have not made a fortune is definitely higher. Receiving an education in this day and age is extremely expensive compared to what it used to cost a student. School can be out-right unaffordable for some people, and end up leaving them with more debt than they can repay. With so many options between trade schools, colleges, and universities a student should be able to find an education at a less expensive rate. They may have to settle for something less than an Ivy League school, but there are options out there, that will leave someone with an education they can …show more content…

With so many different options for an education it is possible to find a school with a less extravagant tuition. Universities are out there for the student who plans to graduate with four-year bachelor’s degree, and more than likely someone looking for a fun ride on the way to their diploma. Going to a trade school is another option a student has. A student can graduate from a trade school program in two years or less. They tend to focus more on hands on techniques, than on bookwork. These schools can be a bit on the steep side for a two-year degree, or technical certificate, because their goal is to expedite the whole learning process, so their students can graduate, and enter the work force as quickly as possible. A student can graduate from a community college, in two years with an associate’s degree. Down that road is scoring 50 points in basketball because the lead player is on fire. Without, the star player, the team might have lost the game. Therefore, he or she becomes the hero, not only of the teams, but in a lot of occasions the town, or nation. Take Boise State Football for example. A few years back Boise State University was on point with quarterback Kellen Moore. He became a huge sensation, across the state of Idaho. An article on Lili.org states, ““What did he hit--18 in a row?" asked Steve Fairchild, the Rams ' coach and former quarterback. "When I played, I couldn 't have done that [against] air.”” “Moore 's been doing it for four years. He 's the nation 's active career leader in pass efficiency (168.6) and completion percentage (69.3) and is second in passing yards (12,596) and touchdowns (120).” After his four-year stint in college football at Boise State; he signed on as a professional football player with the Detroit Lions, two years later he signed with the Dallas Cowboys. Getting an education can pave the way for a student’s entire future. If Kellen had not gone to get a higher education, he never would have had the opportunity to become a professional football player. Think about how school shapes an individual.
