Over one million abortions are performed each year (Number of Abortions –
Abortion Counters). People have been fighting over the morality of abortion for years. Some people believe it is completely wrong, some believe it is perfectly okay, some do not care, and others believe there are exceptions for both sides. Abortion which is the removal of an embryo or fetus from the uterus to end a pregnancy. In Valerie Tarico’s “I am pro-abortion, not just pro- choice: 10 reasons why we must support the procedure and the choice” she talks about how she is pro-choice but above that she is pro-abortion as in she is all for the procedure itself. Tarico is a mother who had an abortion before she became a mother, and was approving of her decision

The second definition of the word help is to save or rescue, but the only one who needs “help” is the unborn child whose existence is threatened. Obviously if the only thing being “helped” is someone’s irresponsible nature then abortion is not a helpful tool, it is a destructive tool.
Abortion is not the way to achieve women’s empowerment in fact it cannot lead to women empowerment or equality. Equality in this case is an invalid point, females and asexual being are the only being that are capable of bearing children so therefore they are the only being capable of abortion, which means that there can be no comparison of equality because no other being is capable of this. As for empowerment, Tarico says “A woman who lacks the means to manage her fertility lacks the means to manage her life.” there are so many problems with this statement. The main problem however, is that a woman’s life may be unmanageable in terms of her fertility management but if her hormones and self-control are not intact leading to the fertility problem then she already “lacks the means to manage her own life”. Adoption is a great thing that allows people who cannot or refuse to handle the responsibility of an unexpected child then this option allows them to give the child to someone who can and wishes to. At the most you are slightly inconvenienced for maybe six months.
Children should be allowed to be loved born or not and it is wrong to deny them that, and deny other the chance to love them.
Potential people are still people and therefore do count, and do matter. This has more to do with the question of is the child alive. The one aspect that prevents people from seeing that an unborn child is alive is the scientific definition of living things that states that living things must be able to reproduce ("Living Thing." - Biology-Online Dictionary). However, there is another scientific condition that states that if something has the potential to fulfill the criteria of a living thing then it is classified as a living thing and therefore the unborn child would be classified as alive making them “real people”. Even if the unborn are still potential people they are alive
