H1: Whenever there are specific targets with limited resources, it is relevant. Relevancy means the contractors are involved in a unique scope of work that they should adapt the basic principles of project management. Q2: How the contractors strategize the phases on their electricity transmission projects? H2: Learning by doing is a common practice for Indonesian contractors. Academic concept and approach to manage complex projects are needed. Q3: Are there any relation between project management standards in the PMBOK Guide 5th Edition with the success rate for electricity transmission projects? H3: A better project management practice leads to higher success rate of electricity transmission projects at the contractors. Success rate would mean a closing project is completing or finishing projects on time, budget and quality in general terms. Q4: How the contractors measure project failure? H4: Time is a major factor for the prominent client, PLN. Failure could mean delay when the contractors might not meet contractual deadline. H5: How should critical success factors in project management feasible for electricity transmission project managers? H5: Critical success factors help contractors’ project manager succeed in the execution of their projects in the electricity transmission. 6.
