The positive aspects of Music in our life
Music has and will always be part of our lives. In today 's world, Music is our daily activity that is used all the time and in every moment. It helps us to relax, to lower our stress and make us healthy. Most of all, it makes us happy and sleep better. In the set of three articles relates to music, we were able to differentiate the benefits and the inconvenients of music in our lives. There were articles about “Violent Music Lyrics increase Aggressive Thoughts and Feelings” by American Psychological Association (APA), then “Under the influence of ...Music” by Tara parker -Pope and lasty “ Music, the healer” by Frank Fitzpatrick. Each of those articles has a benefit in a human life. Mostly in teenagers lives, Music creates a relaxing atmosphere on a their physically and emotionally plans, it also plays a key role in an individual health and it can help to express one’s own self. From some people, Music was not only a relaxing activities but a deep moment of thought and reflection from their past to their present. Music had help us to go over difficult situation, moments and even when one 's felt alone, his or her music was always with them . Just as Bob Marley says “ one good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain” ( Fitzpatrick). Which means that Music is a type of medicine without pill to make you feel better when it is healing someone. Furthermore, it goes through your mind then through your body and finally make one’s feel free from all exciting pain. Sometimes, an individual doesn’t need any treatment to feel better but won 't mind finding himself in a place where there is music that will help to feel free from any issues of lives in this
Music dates back many centuries ago. Music was used for an array of things. In some cases, it was used for rituals, to pass messages, or even for celebrations. There are approximately five to six hundred genres of music currently in existent today. Most music would have been said to originate or birth from folk music in America and evolved overtime to form different genres of music. Music has a long history and connection to human beings and their behavior. Music can also affect someone’s behavior whether it be negatively or positively. There have been many studies and research on the effect of music towards human behavior. Specifically hip-hop and soundscape music seem to have the most interesting effects on human behavior. Moreover, to gain better understanding of how music effects human behavior knowing how the brain functions is also essential.
“I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music” (Billy Joel). Although most listeners may not have the same technical experience in music as Billy Joel, it is easy enough to see the effect it has in a person's every day life. Music has the ability to pick us up when we are down, carry you back in time to a cherished memory, and transform silence into a symphony that can move one to tears. Music therapy is simply an application of the life that music creates.
Music has been around since the very beginning of time. The human body flows in a rhythmic syncopation. Music is used to change one’s mood and to inspire those who open their minds. It has the potential to cure diseases such as Parkinson’s disease. Humans, of every culture and society, function with a type of rhythmic music. As humans, we are hard wired to respond to music (Mannes). The human brain responds to music in such a way that the brain becomes more open to new rhythms, ideas, and values. Music has the power to take over the human body. This makes it easier to overcome conflict and change the ideals of somebody while using music (The Power of Music).
Music is everywhere we go; we listen to it in the car, while doing work, and there are even people who pay to listen or watch an artist perform live. Yes, life goes on without music, but music has such an impact on our lives. Life is a rollercoaster of emotions and we have music to fit our emotions to be just as we feel. Music has a great deal of importance of many people. It can have a meaning that they cannot explain to others and are able to connect with the song. By doing so experts are able to help patients overcome many sicknesses with the help of music. Music therapy is capable of being an advantage for many individual patients, it can encourage responses from patients that other methods of therapy cannot get from them. Also, it improves the patients in distinctive ways other than for an illness.
Music is used in a variety of different ways. Some are very simple and logical, many others are creative and complex. Music is used to give emphasis to movies and advertisements, commercials and TV shows. Music is also used to express feelings and to communicate ideas and thoughts, without the barrier of language. People who cannot understand a language, can respond to music by singing, dancing, beating on a drum, in whatever way; people respond to music, and they like it (Weiss). A song may mean totally different things to different people with their own preferences and cultures. Show a popular piece of music to two different people and without a doubt, their interpretations and views of the song will almost never be exactly the same (if you need more sources this would be an EASY one to find a quote/reference to). The same song in the U.S. may be interpreted the same way in Germany, or Japan, or it may be interpreted in a different way. This is the great thing about music it is all relative to one’s personal views and preferences. Meaning that music is the universal language to speak with and through, allowing for the ultimate tool to both express feelings and to interpret other’s feelings. One more use of music, and possibly one of the most underutilized ways is to heal. Musical healing has been used for millennia with positive results. Music is an important part in any kid, teen and young adults life. It can help them through hard times or just keep them happy. It also can show how they feel. Music is helpful in so many ways but, unfortunately it is also very harmful too. Most try to ignore that but they can’t and shouldn’t.
With so many different cultures, races, religions, personalities, etc., it’s surprising how many fundamental things humans share. Music intertwines us all with its diversity and the effect it has on us. Whether you’re looking to rock out in a dance party, get a good workout in, sleep soundly, study hard, recover from a depressive state, or get the thrill of a super scary horror movie, music is there.
