The Poetry of Robert Frost

Have you ever looked outside your window and wondered what the world really means? Reading Robert Frost’s poetry you will be able to form your own opinion and thoughts about this pulchritudinous world. His poetry is so deep and meaningful you will be overwhelmed with what was going through this man’s head. Life is not paradisiacal, and this is something Robert Frost knew but his poetry gave insight to the people of his time and the generations to come. Although Robert Frost's life was far from perfect he was still an extraordinary person; his great inspirations, themes, and figurative language have won him many honors and awards thus creating one of the greatest American poets known to this day.

Robert Frost went though a lump growing up but he still managed to be a sensational person. March 26th,1874 Frost was born to parents William Prescott Frost Jr. and Isabelle Moodie in the state capital of San Francisco.(Bober 2).Unfortunately as Robert grew older his parents where losing their lovely relationship because his father

was becoming an alcoholic which was absolutely unacceptable in Isabelle’s eyes.(Bober 7). Dealing with his father’s alcoholism was never easy for young Robert. For that reason exactly he never spoke of his father because it was not something he would like to share with others.(Bober 21). Sadly his father died when Frost was only eleven years of age, resulting to him and his family moving to Lawrence, Massachusetts with his grandparents.(Bober 20).

Although the death of his father had many negative affects when Robert moved to Massachusetts his grandfather made sure that Frost received a meritorious education. He did so well in school that when he graduated from Lawrence High School he w...

... in 1961.(Bober 186). Although Robert Frost never officially graduated from any certain college because he had so many jobs he was honored with over 40 honorary degrees from universities and colleges.(Bober 186).

Robert Frost had a great deal of devastation but had a immense amount of success. Sadly after one of Frost’s doctor visits later on that night, January 29th 1963, he died in his sleep.(Bober 187). His life was far from perfect but he was still an extraordinary person; his great inspirations, themes, and figurative language have won him many honors and awards thus creating one of the greatest American poets known to this day. His use of metaphors, imagery, and the form he wrote his poems in made his readers see the world for the pulchritudinous it truly is. To see the world in a different view Robert Frost is definitely something you should seek out.
