Summertime is usually when the good movies hit the big screen, so it was a pleasant surprise for movie goers when the animated movie “The Nut Job” was released in February. The Nut Job is a Universal Studios production, directed by Peter Lepeniotis and produced by Wookyung Jung (PR Newswire). The movie is absolutely hilarious and it is a must see event for the whole family. What makes the movie great is the all-star cast. The animation is outstanding and is really appealing to the eye. The story is well developed and laced with hysterical comedy that is just right for the younger audience. Certainly deciding who to cast for the roles is very important and the studio did a great job in selecting the actors for “The Nut Job”.
The studio selected an all-star cast which includes: Will Arnett as Surly, Katherine Heigl as Andie, Liam Neeson as Raccoon, and Brendan Fraser as Grayson. Maya Rudolph plays the Pug, and Jeff Dunham and Gabriel Iglesias play a pair of ground hogs (Rechtshaffen 94). All of the dialogue and character interactions seem to flow very well, ...
Some actors in this movie do a good job of portraying their character. However, a few take away from the overall experience, such as Tony Ross and Claudia McNeil. Tony Ross, who is an actor known for Pancho Villa, plays Stacey Logan. Claudia McNeil was an actress known for her role in Raisen in the Sun, and she portrays Big Ma. Both of these
To begin with, I particularly enjoyed the actors playing Hannah and Eli because each actor appears
As far as acting, the performers were able to convey the feelings they needed to. However, some characters such as Ol' Cap'n played by Dick Lambert and Luttibelle played by April Curry, seemed more committed and engaging in their roles than others. A crucial factor in April Curry portraying her role so well was her vocal talent far exceeded that of any of the other major performers. She had an amazing voice that I was dazzled by from curtain up to down and left me craving for more. This almost compensated for my disappointment when it came to the ensemble singing to the soundtrack. Many performers were dependent on the cd and were not confident as to when to begin or stop singing, which dampered many moments of the performers. Another element of acting that I enjoyed was the exaggerated use of cooning throughout the duration of the performance that brought characters to life, and enabled certain moments to seem real.
The cast of the movie was sensational. Playing the main character was famous musician and actor, Ice Cube. He is such a serious person that at first I was skeptical of his performance in a comedy. He has played in such movies as Dangerous Ground, Higher Learning, and Boyz 'N Tha Hood. Playing opposite of him was Chris Tucker who is one of the most gifted performers that I've have seen. He has stared in hits such as Rush Hour, The Fifth Element, and Money Talks. These two along with other big comics like Bernie Mac, John Whitherspoon, and Fazion Love bring big laughs to the big screen. Tiny "Zeus" Lester, Nia Long and Regina King do there part as well, to serve up laughs. It is so important to have a good cast that can play their parts well, and get along. If I watch a movie and it is evident that the actors are acting, then I lose interest very quickly. These actors and actresses did a very good job of making every character believable.
According to an online article that I read regarding psychoanalysis therapy, it is said to be very helpful in dealing with those who have personality disorders and neurosis. “Psychoanalysis therapy basically aims to find associations between the unconscious constitutents of patients’ mental process, by tracing out associations between the mind and mental process, all so in a systematic way” http://lifestyle.iloveindia.com/lounge/psychoanalytic-therapy-9740.html.
The Go-Getter is a story about one man’s drive and persistence. William E. Peck is his name and he is an ex-soldier who was injured in battle. Bill lost one of his arms and had one of his legs shortened because of a gunshot wound. But the story begins as the Ricks & Logging Company is looking for a man who can take over managerial responsibilities in their Shanghai office. The two previous managers have had alcohol problems and have not lived up to their responsibilities. So the company is looking for a replacement.
However, Eunice Parchman got addicted with the TV set in her bedroom because she had never watched TV before. So she spent most of her spare time in her bedroom-enjoying cops movies. No one in the family knew that she was illiterate but George was already aware that she had a lack of emotion.
The biggest manhunt against a criminal in U.S. history has been to catch serial killer Theodore John Kaczynski. Ted Kaczynski, sowed terror throughout the country for almost two decades. From 1978 to 1996, Kaczynski sent homemade explosive devices to various Universities, airlines facilities, and people related to those, as part of his anti-technological campaign. That's where he gets the nickname of "The Unabomber"; “un”-derivative from universities, and letter “a”- from airlines. The "Unabomber" killed three people and seriously injured other twenty-three victims, (Esoteric Nation, 2013; Winton & Scott, 2007). Something that had always been a mystery is why Kaczynski chose those particular places and people. Psychological analyzes suggest that the reasons for such actions can be traced to early life events, (Cooijmans, 2013; Winton & Scott, 2007).
Amber Von Tussle was a bit weak vocally, yet too strong in her dancing for her character. Seaweed and Little Inez were marvellous singers, however their acting could have used work. Tracy Turnblad, I will admit, is a hard role to play. She is one of those characters everyone knows and everyone expects; Tracy is almost always played the same way, and it is difficult to break out of the stereotype. Her vocals were great, and her acting matched the character. She could have been a better dancer, but overall, Natalie Rotolo pulled off the role.

Right off the bat, the acting in this movie is amazing. Many of the actors in
The main characters were Charlie and Riley. I did enjoy the characters. I found them intriguing and loved that I could relate with Charlie. They were characters that in the eyes of the public would be considered bad, but in my eyes, they were trying to be good.
The main role of Gordie LaChance is played by Wil Wheaton. He is having trouble in his life at this time because he just lost his brother and his parents are having a very difficult time dealing with it. Chris Chambers was played by River Phoenix. Chris is considered a loser because of his family and everybody thinks he will do nothing in life. Through it all, the group of kids looks up to Chris and he is admired by them. The role of Teddy Duchamp is played by Corey Feldman. Teddy has a difficult time in life largely because his father was very mean to him before getting thrown in an insane asylum. The lack of discipline shows in that Teddy has a serious problem staying in control. He is always going crazy and his behavior presents a problem more than once to the group. Vern Tessio is played by Jerry O’Connel. He is the short little fat kid that remains a constant pest throughout the movie. Together the for kids embark on a trip through the woods that will be a challenging adventure for them all. Over the course of the movie the group has problems with individual group members, they have to work as a team, and leadership roles emerge.
Hoot’s limited acting selection includes Luke Wilson (the lesser known of the Wilson brothers, the more popular being Owen), Clark Gregg (now known for his important yet under acknowledged rule in the Marvel Franchise), Logan Lerman and Neil Flynn- who seems to know first hand what’s it’s like to pick a poor movie to star in. These big names bring in fans who are eager to watch more of their favorite actors, only to be let down by the cheesy scripts- although I do find myself trying to contain laughter whenever the apple of the whole eye of the movie pops up into my mind, “shnakes”. Hoot also contains singer Jimmy Buffett- if you don’t know who this is, you’re probably born after 1980.
