As Hitler rose to power he soon created Nazi Germany, a totalitarian state, by making himself a famous dictator, being known as a ‘Fuhrer’. When Hitler was in power he made some significant changes to Nazi Germany with both changes being positive such as: keeping promises, teaching discipline, created Volkswagen, restored German pride (nationalism) and provided employment to those who lost their jobs during The Great Depression. However, the negatives of Hitler being in power of Germany are: control of education, use of terror and violence, torture and execution, concentration camps and strictly controlled businesses. Hitler eventually improved Germany to become a better country in the future.

The Great Depression had hit Germany because of the fall of the New York stock market; Hitler had made a promise to give back the lives of the German people by doing many things. Hitler had promised to restore pride (nationalism) and to provide employment to those who lost their living during The Great Depression. Hitler also promised to give most German people a car, a house and employment. Hitler had created a car, being named the Volkswagen, which was later improved to be a popular car for people around the world. As Hitler kept making lots of promises to the German people, he was able to teach the youth of Germany discipline, making the German youth strong and to have self-discipline. Hitler kept his word as he kept making promises and gave back the basic livings of most German people. Hitler had helped Germany get back on their feet after The Great Depression and promised to help them with that making it a better …show more content…
When Hitler ‘repaired’ Germany, he decided to punish those that: challenged him for political power and were Jewish. Hitler also had the power to decide what was to be taught to the youth. When Hitler had gained power, he decided to control what type of education was to be taught to the youth of Germany. One thing in particular being taught to the youth of Germany was discipline to the boys and domestic duties to the girls. Hitler would use harsh punishment to those that challenged him for political power and those that were Jewish. In order to punish these people he decided to bring terror, violence, torture and execution (Life under Adolf Hitler – A Totalitarian Regime, 1999). Hitler had created concentration camps which were poor quality prisons and Hitler had placed groups inside the prison including the Jewish and Hitler decided to put the Jewish inside was because he had blamed them for the Treaty Of Versailles. When Hitler gained power in Germany, he strictly controlled businesses, only letting them run if they spoke well about or supported the Nazi Party. As Hitler was in power, he brought mass destruction to those that took away what Germany had away when the Treaty of Versailles was signed. As Hitler was gaining power over Germany, he brang mass destruction to certain groups of people, controlled business and also controlled
According to en.wikipedia.org and historyplace.cpm, Hitlers rise to power began in Germany when he joined the Nazi party in September, 1919. Deep anger about the first world war and the treaty of Versalies created an underlying bitterness in the German people which Hitlers viciousness and expansionism appealed, so the perty gave him support. He was imprisioned after the 1923 unich Bear hall putsch. The Bear hall putsch resulted in the deaths of four officers. He was sentenced to five years, during that time he wrote Mein Kampf. He was named chancellor on January 30, 1933 by president Paul Van Hidenburg. His rise to power could have ended if the Enabling Act of 1933 was not adopted. The Enabling Act of 1933 meant that Hitler could enact laws and endemocract in Germany. The Nazi party used force to scare the German Governmant into voting for the act. The day the voting for the Nazi troopers gathered outside the opera house, chanting,"Full power or else." under Hitlers rule, Germany was transformed into a racist totlaitarian state which controlled nearly all aspects for everyones life.
In WWII Germany was controlled as a fascist totalitarian state under the rule of Adolf Hitler. In 1933, the president of the Weimar Republic appointed Hitler as the chancellor of Germany. He continued gaining support from Germans by telling the Germans what they wanted to hear. He blamed problems on the Jews and promised to solve problems from the depression. Hitler gave the working class more jobs by destroying Jewish companies, the unemployed workers were given jobs of construction of building more works, and farmers were offered higher wages for crops. As chancellor, he controlled the media and censored comments against the war. As a fascist state, extreme nationalism was displayed and gained support through propaganda against Jews. Hitler wanted a larger military for territorial expansion. Eight countries were conquered by him: Poland, Norway, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, the ...
Hitler’s rise to power can be attributed to a series of events occurring both in Germany and the rest of the world in the mid 20th century. In the year 1929, due to the collapse of the American Stock Exchange the economic situation in Germany terribly worsened. “’I see myself as Chancellor and I will be Chancellor,’ Hitler told Hans Frank, who by then had become his lawyer.” (P.64) Hitler believed in himself and eventually received the power he aimed for. Unemployment was at around 6 million and people were desperate for a quick ...
“We must close union offices, confiscate their money and put their leaders in prison. We must reduce workers’ salaries and take away their right to strike.” Sounds familiar? This quote was said by someone who was a major impact in the 20th century; this is Adolf Hitler the god of Nazi. Adolf Hitler was one of the most unyielding and destructive rulers in all history. In my opinion I think this person is one of the most important or that impacted the 20th century because before and after there was a chaos. Adolf Hitler was the leader of the Nazi Germany from 1933 to 1945. He initiated the “Holocaust” and the “World War II” and oversaw fascist policies that resulted in millions of deaths. Hitler serves as a
Hitler's Rise To Power The reason I have chosen is The Treaty of Versailles. I have chosen this reason because I feel that it played a major part in Hitler's rise to power. I feel there are a number of factors why this helped Hitler's rise to power. The Treaty of Versailles One of the factors of the Treaty of Versailles that helped Hitler's rise to power was the 'War Guilt' clause.
Hitler's Rise to Power In 1919 the Weimar Republic encountered harsh economic, social and economic conditions. political problems. After the new Democratic Republic signed the armistice. It put Germany not only into an economic crisis, it also caused Ebert’s Republic to get off to an unpopular start.
In Germany during the 1930's, Adolf Hitler rose through the ranks of the Nazi Party, eventually becoming the “fuhrer”, or leader of Germany. As of then, the German people were still embittered by the loss of their national pride from the First World War. The result of the First World War was that Germany
Hitler was a totalitarian leader in Germany during WW2 who rose to power due to his promises to make Germany a better country. Germany was at a weakened state, facing a Great Depression, excessive amount of respirations, and other problems had taken a toll on them and resulted in a loss of faith in their country. The lack of hope allowed Hitler to gain a political role in the country, because unlike other leaders at the time he had answers. Although they weren't the cause of the debt and pain that Germany faced, Hitler blamed the Jews. Hitler influenced Germans that Jews were the cause of all their countries problems and noted that with his power he would make sure that they were punished. He went on to later become one of the most vicious
Hitler quickly turned Germany into a totalitarian dictatorship in which all social and economic societies were with the Nazi Party. Up until the start of World War II the terror was relatively small compared to the murder, imprisonment, and harassment of Jews, homosexuals, and even the mentally ill of WWII. After the beginning of World War II, the murder and exterminat...
Adolf Hitler was the leader of the Nazi Party who made a commanding impact on World War II. Hitler became a man of great power over a short period of time. Although he was not elected to be chancellor of Germany until 1933, there were events that occurred before that led to his greatness. He was born in Austria however he was the absolute ruler of Germany. In view of that fact that Hitler became chancellor, Hitler believed that he could do anything, which caused the Enabling Act. “…The Enabling Act, which suspended the constitution for four years and allowed Nazi laws to take effect without parliamentary approval”(Hunt & Martin, 850). Hitler was able to bolt for freedom with anything he had a desire for. The way that he led his Nazi-Germans was contrasting because no other leader, dictator, or commander was ever able to do what Hitler was able to. “At the same time, the media allowed authoritarian rulers and would-be dictators such as Benito Mussolini, Joseph Stalin, and Adolf Hitler to shape uniform political thought and to control citizens’ behavior far beyond what previous rulers had been able to do” (Hunt & Martin, 829). Adolf Hitler has made a substantial effect on society during his time, and still has today.
Hitler took advantage of Germany’s citizens making them believe that he could bring germany out of the rut that they were stuck in. No one could have predicted the Mass murder of the Jews was going to happen, but many thousands of Germans lost their faith in Hitler when they saw what an evil and egotistical man he truly
Hitler was able to increase his power even more when the economy fell by promising Germans that he would stop reparation payments and provide them with jobs and food. Lastly, Hitler took away the rights of the German people and oppressed Jews. A lesson that can be taught from Adolf Hitler’s reign of terror is to always watch out for politicians that promise to fix a country’s problems and suspend the rights of the people for the safety of the
After Hitler took control of the government, he united the German people, “The reunion of the German peoples was his goal” (“Adolf Hitler”). Hitler changed the German society and economy by uniting all the political parties into one. Once he took control of German he gained their trust and that turned their economy from being bankrupt after WWII. The Germans were bitter and Hitler used that to change the government, which changed Germany forever. Hitler promised his united people's land, which was stolen during WWI. He planned to take back land from smaller countries, “Hitler outlined his plans for future conquest” (“Adolf Hitler”). Once Hitler united Germany in his rule, he schemed to bully the neighboring countries in order to gain land. He took land from Austria and Polish countries by the USSR. The only thing stopping him were the allies. Hitler defined society by taking control of the German
In 1920 Germany’s economy began to fail. After WWI, Germany was being blamed for everything that went wrong in the war. The Treaty of Versailles stated that Germany’s army was restricted to 100,000 men, they were to pay 132 billion in damages from the war, and they could have no air force. Germany was in a depression. Hitler became the hero; he promised the German people financial stability and his promise came true. Germany was finally out of their depression and working great, thanks to Adolf Hitler. Hitler was loved by many, he had saved Germany, and he was greatly admired by Germans nationwide. However, many events lead up to him becoming a villain, and basically ruining the world in the 1930’s.
Another key factor that played a role in Hitlers rise to power was after World War one as the treaty of Versailles took away Germanys colonies and forced them to pay 33billion dollars, to Britain and France. This debt in return completely bankrupted Germany and economically enslaved the people of Germany. Unemployment and inflation at the time was out of control. Ther German currency lost so much value that people were struggling to buy a simple loaf of bread. The reason the great depression helped Hitler was because he promised the people of Germany that he would rebuild Germany to its former self. He promised jobs which mainly came through the army, this in affect helped Hitler realise one of his other promises which was to take Revenge on those who left Germany crippled after the war. This made him and the Nazis wildly popular in Germany during the 1930s. In just a few short years,...
