Social media should be given a total support as it is very advantageous and have become part of everyday life and they have brought revolutionary changes in communication between people. Social media has become the proverbial “tie that binds” society together. Society has inculcated social media into itself to such an extent that most people have these outlets within arm’s reach at all times. It is less expensive way to stay in contact with friends and family despite whatever distances or circumstances may separate you. For a family of five in Chicago, social media provides a way to connect with grandma and grandpa in Miami daily. They can share photos and video chat in real time, stay updated on day to day activities, and with the use of mobile devices they are never more than an instant message away. Grandma and Grandpa can see the kids’ baseball games, school performances, recitals and birthday parties immediately and comment about them, instead of waiting for that twice a year visit.
