Abortion is a sensitive topic globally, culturally, and socially. There’s more than forty percent of women that end their pregnancy by abortion. In every nation of the world a woman makes the choice for an abortion. Abortion is a procedure that allows a woman to end the life from her pregnancy. There was a time when unsafe abortion was one of the many causes of maternal death. Unsafe abortion went down over the last two decades. When abortion became legal the tragic health issues for women reduced as well as death. There are thirty-six countries willing to allow a woman 's abortion if the female 's life is threatened. Those few countries make the exception depending on her situation of rape, incest, and fetal damage. Now abortion is known as a safe and legal way for a woman to end an unwanted pregnancy. After finding a clinic, she had to pick an abortion method. Of course she picked the medication abortion, which was the most affordable at our age. When she arrived home to take the second pill, a few hours after she began suffering with severe cramps that felt like she was dying and experience heavy bleeding. She mentioned the pain was unbearable; she couldn 't do a thing for a few hours. It’s a nightmare when you don’t want to be pregnant. As of today it will be five years after her abortion. She still remains ashamed and hurt about what she had done. There are times she will bring up the past saying she wish she could have kept the baby, but we were young and she wanted a better future for herself. I would not get an abortion unless my life was threatened. There are moments in life when a woman suffers a tragedy. If a woman became pregnant from a man who raped her, she should have every right to terminate her pregnancy. If she were to keep the child it would be a reminder of a tragic incident. A woman that chooses to end the innocent life should have the alternative to do so. It 's another way to prevent a child living a terrible
