Have you ever heard of the Panama canal or even the Moai’s at Easter Island? Did you know that the Moai was created over a thousand of years ago? The Panama Canal is basically a canal where ships could easily get across the ocean in less than 8 hours. Believe it or not, but the two man-made structures have some stuff in common. Even though they have way more differences they’re not completely different from each other. Some differences are that the Moai is more of a statue while the Panama canal is really just a canal and that the Moai is a huge mystery when the Panama canal really has no mystery, but no one knows how the Moai’s move from a volcano onto an Ahu. The Panama canal was most definitely man-made. It took about 80,000 workers to finish the Panama canal. It cost over 600,000,000 dollars to Finnish this project. Likewise the Moai was created by many people as people believe. It had to be carved because of the face’s the Moai’s show. Although the Moai’s didn’t cost any money to be made. In the text “The Mystery of the Moai” it states “One archaeologist, Joanne Van Tilburg, studied all 877 Moai on Easter Island in 1989.” When Joanne Van Tilburg had finished this study of hers she realized that it took many people to carve the Moai let alone move
