Music Man Jr. was written by Meredith Willson and Franklin Lacy, and it was first performed at Majestic Theatre on December 19, 1957. The Music Man Jr. was performed at the Cedarburg Performing Arts Center, at Cedarburg, Wisconsin on November 19th, 2015, a Thursday. Harold Hill, the main guy character was played by 8th grader Jake Orthober. Marian was played by 8th grader Katie LePianka. Harold Hill is on a train, and decides he should get off at River City, Iowa. Harold Hill is trying to start a “boys band” by pointing out the rights and wrongs of the influence on the children in this town. Marian is approached by Harold and they flirt around but Marian brushes it off her shoulders. Then the scene changes to the gymnasium where a city meeting is happening. The excitement of the citizens adds to the effect of that happiness and enthusiasm. At the close end of the show Marian falls deeply in love and breaks out into a love song that is greatly sung by Katie LePianka. They’re on a bridge and then go down the bridge and start dancing and then they duet and then the show ends beautifully. This play that was performed by the Cedarburg Webster Transitional Middle School was directed by the one and only Mrs. Bordak-Raaflaub the Webster drama and choir instructor. The choreographer was Carly Shurr. With the assistance and by Miss Jagodinski. The musical was very successful, but there were some mistakes made that weren’t that obvious. The mistakes could be heard but that's alright! The props really added a real setting to the show. Light work was phenomenal! The backdrops and the set pieces added to when and where the scene and whole show was taking
