The movie “Shakespeare in Love” shows the business process of theater, along with Shakespeare’s struggles in his career and love life. Shakespeare in Love is a fictional account of the life that inspired the play Romeo and Juliet. Throughout the movie there are scenes, which you can relate to modern times comical irony devious behavior manipulation and how everything does not matter in the case of love. The story is perfect and ties together all the parts of the actual play and what may have really happened to the life of Shakespeare. The writers produced an imaginative romantic comedy in the style of Shakespeare that is very believable. They bring the viewer along for a fictitious account of what may have motivated Shakespeare to write one of the greatest plays of all times. This film captures the coarseness and bawdiness of the period as well as its soaring poetry. It places Shakespeare’s world in a modern context and makes it accessible, without diminishing the impact of his words. The movie starts off with Philip Henslowe, patron of the arts, “pinioned in a chair, with his feet stuck out over the hot coals of a fire burning.” Henslowe owes Fennyman “forty three pounds five shillings and nine pence” in order to appease the loan shark; he deceives him by saying he has a wonderful play written by Shakespeare, which would cover the debt. By saying this he tricks Fennyman into supporting him and ending his torment. This shows how tricky people can be when their lives are in danger. This is still present in modern business or any field in general people learn how trick others in order to save their hides. In the meantime, Shakespeare is attempting to write the play but is at a stand still for he has no inspiration. When he awakes ... ... middle of paper ... ...more creative with script of the play. He did this primarily by writing dialogue that conveyed both emotional and everlasting love along with self-sacrificing for love. Through the movie the people who were concerned with obtaining money from this play began to accept the romantic sensation of the play. The characters change from negative to neutral or completely positive. Fennyman is the perfect example of this he is obsessed with getting his money back at the beginning but at the end he is more concerned about the play and his role has the apothecary. Overall the movie did not only show how Shakespeare life and personal experiences affected his writing but how they changed the personality of the actors and the higher ups. The higher ups opinions where changed drastically realizing that there are occasions were change is required to evolve society and it thoughts.
