The past two years have been the most pivotal and life changing years of my life.
I have learned, I have grown, and I have finally accomplished the biggest challenge I set up for myself - Engineering School.
After 4years and 20months of internship, I’m glad to announce that I can finally call myself an Electrical Engineering graduate.
In March, when I swore the oath/received my iron ring and became an obligated engineer, I knew that I was close to the finish line. And now that it’s all done, I am excited to be moving on to the next chapter of my life/career.
I am truly thankful for the people I have met and the relationships that I have built along the way. If there’s one thing that I have learned, it is the power of surrounding yourself
So thank you judge Ball, Vanessa, Sharon, Susan, Dan, the rest of the panel, my peers, and whoever else I’ve missed. You guys gave me the opportunity to live. And though the sun sets on this chapter of my journey and the dawn rises on the next one I will always be eternally grateful and indebted to you all.
In the Time of the Butterflies, The Year my Parents Went on Vacation, and Cautiva are three powerful stories that take place during the twentieth century in the Dominican Republic, Brazil, and Argentina. The stories all revolve around the political turmoil that was brought on by evil dictatorships, and raises a number of questions as to the moral dilemmas people were faced with. For example, In the Time of the Butterflies three sisters chose to go up against the dictatorship when knowing full well that they were risking their lives. In The Year my Parents Went on Vacation, Shlomo was faced with the decision of keeping the young boy Mauro, and risked his life in an attempt to track down Mauro’s parents. Senior year. The year known for its “lasts” of everything and the start of one 's adulthood. It’s also a busy part of life- college applications, college acceptance, graduation, and even get to know what the terminal disease “senioritis” feels like. Senior year is the last year that I will get the chance to cheer on the football team every Friday night, running track every Thursday, as well as seeing my favorite teachers on a day to day basis. This year is my year, the year that is going to change everything that I have ever known. Senior year is the year that will impact myself, my friends, my family, as well as everyone that surrounds me. It will be the year of change.

The trip is over and it was amazing! I can’t believe how fun it was. I unpack my stuff from the inner surface of the van. I walk up my stone sidewalk and to my wooden front door. I wait for my parents to open it, and then I walk home and smell the familiar scent of my house.
As I mentioned before, I was not sure what to expect going in. It was very overwhelming at first, but I am so glad that I was able to meet with the people that I did. This was especially great for me because I ran into one of my childhood friends who I haven’t seen in many years. She currently works for Acrobatique Creative Branding Boutique, which I was unfamiliar with. She gave me information on what her company was about and some of the opportunities that are available. If it weren’t for this job fair, I most likely would not have had a chance to reconnect with her. When I got home, I sent out emails to every employer that I spoke with today to express my appreciation for them taking time out of their day to speak with me. I’m hoping that at least one of them get back to me. I am excited to see what the future has in store, and I’m glad I attended the career
Everyone has a story, a pivotal moment in their life that started to mold them into the person they are today and may even continue to mold you to the person that you will become, I just had mine a little bit earlier than others. When I was three years old my brother became a burn survivor. It may seem too early for me to remember, but I could never forget that day. Since then, I have grown, matured and realized that what my family and I went through has been something of a benefit to be and an experience that has helped me in deciding what I want to do with the rest of my life.
A high point in my adolescence years was right before my senior year of high school started. My school, Holland Christian, takes all of the senior class for a weekend out at Timberwolf camp for a time of bonding, fun, and worship. In one of the worship sessions, everyone was on a ‘spiritual high’ from the weekend, and in particular, this worship service. One of our teachers asked for a few minutes of silent reflection. After a few minutes, he felt moved to ask our class if we felt moved to come up on stage and apologize to our classmates. My class was notorious for being awful to our teachers and to each other. And one by one my classmates were moved to walk up on stage and apologize, and I did too. I apologized for thinking about who should be going up there, instead of what I had been doing wrong. I also apologized for not letting go of past things that people have done, and leaving them in a box where they shouldn’t belong. This was a high point for me because it was a moment where I felt close to God, and where I forgave a lot of past wrong-doings that had been hurting me. As I continued to grow from
I have not had a single accomplishment that is worth writing about but I feel that my college completion will be one accomplishment that I will be most proud. I feel that I am taking one step forward in life that will make me become a more successful person.
Learning is a continuous process and the day that you stop learning is the day that you start decreasing your rewards and lower levels of satisfaction. My ardent desire to acquire knowledge has motivated me to pursue higher studies at graduate level, and to take up a career in research in industry. I have taken this decision after carefully considering my academic background, profound interest in research and strong aptitude for problem solving. Banking on an excellent academic record coupled with a keen interest in the ever-growing field of science and technology motivated me to take up engineering.
Now having more confidence, I believed that I could finally navigate the waves of life. I entered King College Preparatory High School’s engineering program. With a high interest in the process of designing and building cars, I could now see them in action. My eyes were opened to the many disciplines under the topic of engineering. Desire had developed itself into something deeper, as now I had a zeal for engineering and all that it had to offer.
Who are you? Where are you going? And how are you going to get there? These three questions are repeatedly asked through my high school experience. By your senior year, you should know these answers, For me, I knew them long before I stepped into high school.
The Most Important Event in my Life The most important event in my life, didn’t even happen to me, but happened to my older sister, Becky. The reason I am writing about her is because the things that have happened to her and the things she has done in the past have affected me tremendously, as well as my family. Her life used to be filled with nothing else but drugs, stealing, and lying. My family has never been the same since then.
During my school and college, I was very sharp in analytical problem solving and this quality made physics and mathematics one of my favorite subjects. I was very keen on performing the physics practical. My inclination towards physics and mathematics compelled to choose electrical engineering for my Bachelors degree.
“An Event Which Changed My Life” An Event which changed my life, well when, I think back on my life there’s Many changes for the good and some were bad but, there were some learning experiences that help make me a better person. The events in my life, was dealing with the Birth and The Death of my first daughter. The First, Event was the birth of my first daughter it, was a joyous event in my life.
