The movie High Noon and short story "The Most Dangerous Game" are equally intriguing and captivating. High Noon's old western theme and suspension dragged us into the story, and "The Most Dangerous Game" with its mysterious characters and plot line kept our eyes glued to the pages. Both are amazing in their own ways, and are obviously different in many aspects. High Noon and "The Most Dangerous Game" have their similarities, but their differences are on a much higher scale. When you watch High Noon, the setting is clear from the start. Men ride on horses to an old town out in the west. The music and scenery clearly display what environment it's taking place in. "This is just a dirty little village in the middle of nowhere..." (Judge) The quote demonstrates the setting in a few words. In this case, the messages in the stories are moderately shown. High Noon's message is "you don't know who to trust". Will Kane was appreciated by friends in the town, he recently got married and things were fine until he heard news about Frank Miller coming to get him. Kane eventually went around town trying to find help, but nobody in these moments wanted to help him. They all hid away, ignored Kane or just straight up refused. They were afraid and just wanted will to leave. "You had six steady deputies to start off with, every one a top gun.
