The Merry Wives of Windsor by William Shakespeare is a comedy play. Director Sarah Ripper did a great job on the entire show. Every character was into their role and I think that is very important because it helps the audience see that the director made sure that everything would play smoothly. Choreographer William F. Lett made it fun for the characters because I can see it while they were performing. Everything was going smoothly and natural, which is good because that tells the audience that they are enjoying what they are doing. Dialect and Text Coach Evelyn Carol Case chose the perfect actors for their specific roles because they actually carried their characters with the accent perfectly. Costumes designer play one of the important key role because costumes give the audience an idea of a character's personality or attitude, the time frame of the production, and make the show more convincing for the audience while they are watching. Lighting Designers Joanne Edelstein and Debra Garcia Lockwood did their part of the production really well. I did not see any mistake of putting a spot light on the characters at the right time. It was not only that, but they were also able to make the scene dramatic, joyful, and serious at certain points. Sound Designer Benjamin Hawkins was able to make the other sounds for the show very realistic, which I found really interesting because not many sound designers are really well with what they do. Makeup/Hair Designer Kaylee Truenow was amazing with doing their Makeup/Hair because it was not just a simple make up or hair. It could only be done by someone who is talented and really love what they do. Kaylee Truenow made sure that the look was suitable to style of the work being staged. I found Scenic Designer more effective because the entire production was impressive. The designs immediately caught my eyes when I saw them. I know that some people would still not be comfortable with their characters even though they have been practicing it for a while, so for me to see that they were really comfortable with it really made a big difference. I really enjoyed every single scene and did not get bored at all. The message of the show that I found is that wives can be faithful and merry at the same time. This could lead into a cheerful, interesting lives without betraying their responsibilities to their husbands. For example, Mistress Ford and Mistress page were married to two rich men of Windsor. The Merry Wives of Windsor key themes include love and marriage, jealousy and revenge, social class and wealth. These themes were explored with sarcasm, irony, and stereotypical views of classes and nationalities. These help give the play closer to a modern-day view than is often found in any Shakespeare’s
