In the play Twelfth Night Shakespeare states “Be not afraid of greatness: some are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them” (Twelfth Night II.5.154). Shakespeare influenced every generation of writers since his death, and he continues to have an enormous impact on contemporary plays, movies, and poems. His plays have plots with many twists and turns providing an excellent exercise in logic. William Shakespeare is known worldwide because he is the greatest poet and playwright who ever lived, he influenced the world of literature, his plots were unoriginal, and because of his achievements he is now taught at school. To begin, Shakespeare is a well-known playwright and a tremendous poet.
William Shakespeare is said to be born on April 23, 1564, although his actual birthday is not known, and was baptized at the holy Trinity Church in Stratford-upon-Avon on April 26, 1564. William Shakespeare was the third child of John and Mary Arden Shakespeare with two older sisters and three younger brothers. Although much is not known about his education, scholars believe that Shakespeare went to school in King's New School, in Stratford, which taught the basics of literature. On November 28, 1582, when Shakespeare was 18, he got married to a 26 year old women, Anne Hathaway, in Worcester. After about six months of marriage, on May 26, 1583, Anne Shakespeare gave birth to their first child, a daughter by the name of Susanna.
One example of this is whether he was educated, his works indicate that he probably was and it is speculated that he attended King Edward VI Grammar School in Stratford. It is known that he married Anne Hathaway at the age of eighteen and had three kids, Susanna, Hamnet and Judith. Hamnet died when he was eleven years of age. The years following the birth of his children until he began working in London in theatre are known as “the lost years” of Shakespeare’s life. When documentation picks back up, Shakespeare’s career is in full swing working in London as an established actor and has published his first two poems.

William Shakespeare, poet and playwright, utilized humor and irony as he developed specific language for his plays, thereby influencing literature forever. “Shakespeare became popular in the eighteenth century” (Epstein 8). He was the best all around. “Shakespeare was a classic” (8). William Shakespeare is a very known and popular man that has many works, techniques and ways.
We all know that William Shakespeare is a great writer that wrote many plays in his life time. But how did he become a great writer. How was his childhood what was it made up of. We all want to know some parts of his life. Did he go to school, get married, have children and how did he start writing.
Very little is known about Shakespeare’s education. We know that the King’s New Grammar School taught boys basic reading and writing. We assume William attended this school since it existed to educate the sons of Stratford but we have no definite proof. In 1582 William got married. A bond certificate dated November the 28th, 1582, reveals that an eighteen year old William married the twenty-six and pregnant Anne Hathaway.
William Shakespeare changed the world of literature. He had a great impact on many great writers and poets. He played a very critical role in the advancement of English literature. Shakespeare used his works to speak to people and entertain. William Shakespeare will always be considered one of the greatest.
Just a few months after they had been wed, Susanna was born which meant that the swift marriage was caused by an unplanned pregnancy due to premarital intercourse. Just a short twenty-one months later, they gave birth to a set of twins; Hamnet and Anne. Around 1590, he moved to England to make success of his work and he would later become a co-owner to the Globe Theater. In, 1596 his only son passed at age eleven. Shakespeare and Anne remained wed till 1616, when Shakespeare passed.
