Anorexia: a lack or loss of appetite for food (medical condition.) Anorexia Nervosa is one of the most common psychiatric diagnosis.(3. Kovarik.) Anorexia Nervosa has one of the highest death rates of any mental health condition.(3. Kovarik.) Millions of girls and boys are affected by this yearly, with some this is an ongoing battle or it is something they tend to overcome. This will contain stories from two girls, one of them everyone may know her name is Demitria Lovato. Her story will explain what it is like to go through anorexia with the paparazzi. The other girl is 17 year old Maria. They will talk about their everyday struggles and what it is like to live with anorexia. Demi will talk about what its like to have everyone know about your condition. Anorexia will prevent you to live the life you lived before it became your lifestyle. Living with anorexia cant be that easy. Even after you have been treated and recovered. The only way to describe anorexia is like an ongoing cold. You start to get rid of t and something happens where you just give up trying to fix it. There are eight main physical effects anorexia has on people. The physical effects include, mood swings, lack of energy, poor memory, yellowish skin and brittle nails, bloating, tooth decay, fainting, and headaches.(1. Smith.) Anorexia also can effect the things inside your body. For example it can effect your blood which can cause anemia. It can effect all the bodily fluids so that you have low potassium, magnesium and sodium. (1. Smith) There are many different symptoms and warning sides that will help you help a loved one. The top six symptoms are Inadequate food intake leading to a weight that can be severely low, fear of gaining weight, obsessive behavior ab... ... middle of paper ... ...healthy weight. All the problems you had when you let anorexia over power you will start to fade away. Your dry skin will become soft, the mood swings will start to go away, your health issues that you had because of it will start to go back to normal. The biggest thing is that you will love yourself again. Everything will take time, but doesn’t the best things in life take the longest time to overcome. (4. Goldberg) But there can be a downside to life after over powering anorexia. The long term damage of it. If you were at a serious crucial weight you can have bone damage for the rest of your life, your stomach and organs could get messed up and you could also have a serious enough case where your lungs could get crushed and you could need either surgery or oxygen for the rest of your life. For women it could cause cancer because of your health problems. (5. Shaw)
