Primarily, this feeling of being away from Nyuta made him say to his mother that he did not love her. It is evident from his hatefulness towards her mother that it started from the time when they left the villa since it sounded as if he empathized before with her when others laughed at the state she lived. This hate moved to an extreme level where he ashamed his mother in the presence of the music teacher that he was telling lies. The desperation for Nyuta's love made him take a weapon, and a shot came out of it killing him. At birth Percy’s first father had left him and his mother. After his father left them his mother decided to get remarried. From Percy’s point of view this was not a smart choice as his step father treated her poorly. Percy is definitely unsatisfied and frustrated with her decision as he respects and cares about her a lot. Percy also greatly loves his mother as he defends her when she is disrespected by his stepfather.

He hurts when his heartbroken mother dies, which leads him to lack sympathy for others when he only wants sympathy for himself. After twelve years, he has no knowledge that he has a father that actually exists, and no answer to who his father may be. This leads him to feel alone and desperate to find love in any way that he can do so. Already he hurts because his mother’s death, but Heathcliff has no regards when he torments Linton’s spiritual being and physical being.
