The Lesson of My Life

970 Words2 Pages

Mistakes have the potential to change people’s life. I make mistakes, so does everyone! Neither those mistakes are good or bad. No one is born without knowing everything. Education, family and time management are the three mistakes I have learned. They are considered to be environmentally friendly and harness natural processes. They help to negate the effects of certain forms of dangers. They became the lessons of my life. As a teenager, I do not want to study. I am stubborn and lazy. I hate to wake up so early every morning. It bothers me a lot. I never get enough sleep. Homework, assignments, projects have become piles of mountains. I often thought about suicide myself. I try to kill myself several times, but I could not succeed. I always complain to my parents, “Why I should go to school? It costs you enormous amount of budgets. It is useless. Teachers only teach the same lessons again and again. It is boring. I often see you came home exhausted. I want to help you, mom. Mom and dad, ‘I want to quit studying, can I?’ I want to find a job to help you.” Yeah, I was wrong. Everything would be awful if I quit. However, I am very thankful to my parents who never give up on my education. I know it costs a huge amount of money, but it is worthwhile. My parents keep begging me to keep going. They keep giving me gifts as rewards to keep me motivated. They always fulfill my wishes. I never understand why they do that to me. Until one Saturday morning, when I step up on the stage getting my high school diploma, I realize how important it is for my parents. I never know how valuable education is until I see them crying. I know I was wrong. I never thought that a single certificate holds a lot of meanings. I cry so badly. I could not stop... ... middle of paper ... ...ore than gold does. My future would be dark if I do not start now! I have been planning what I am going to do for my future. By the age of 35, I would have accomplished my dreams. I wonder what my life would be without my parents. I wonder what my life would be if I choose my path. Thank you supporting me. Thank you for sparing mercy on me on behalf of my unacceptable actions. Without your passion, I would have died a long time ago. I must confess that it is hard to live without you. I do not know what to say. I do not know where to start. I promise you, daddy. I will show the world how great our family is. I will sing with pride. You have made me become stronger. You decide to hold the pain for me. Now, it is my turn. You have taught me how valuable education is. You have taught me how valuable family is. You have taught me how valuable time is. Thank you, daddy!
