The Lakefront
Have you ever been to a place that you did not want to leave? This is the way I feel when I go to the lakefront. This is one of the most beautiful places that I have ever been. At night you can almost reach out and touch the stars and the sound of the water splashing is so peaceful.
I have many fond memories about the lakefront, it is the place where I can just get away and think. I have been to the lakefront thousands of times and every time is a different experience weather I am with my friends or if I go alone. When I was younger my mother would take me on the lakefront and I would play on the swings and the slides, little did I know my mother used to take me out so I could exert energy so I could get tired and she could put me to sleep.
I remember early mornings my dad would wake me up to go fishing on the lakefront and we would sit and listen to birds chirping and watch the boats passing. It seemed like we would never catch anything, but the time was never wasted. Every year we have our family reunion on the lakefront, there is...
Each person has a place that calls to them, a house, plot of land, town, a place that one can call home. It fundamentally changes a person, becoming a part of who they are. The old summer cabins, the bedroom that was always comfortable, the library that always had a good book ready. The places that inspire a sense of nostalgic happiness, a place where nothing can go wrong.
Many people desire a place to go where they can fulfill are there desires. Many people yearn for a place to go where they can carry out there wildest dreams. I have found my place to encompass all of these feelings. My place of escape was New Orleans, Louisiana. Since Hurricane Katrina devastated the country with its monstrous winds. New Orleans was a perfect place designed for amusement, vacation, and partying. Thousands of people came from all over the world to experience what New Orleans had to offer. From its hotels, music, food, and diversity, New Orleans provides a load of variety that most cities can't come close
It wasn’t just the environment that I really enjoyed in Sylvan lake, but it was also the house that I lived in. It was beautiful. What was really amazing about where I lived, was that I didn’t have any neighbours. The house was secluded without any sight of houses around it and behind the house was nothing but field. The field was so far out that you couldn’t even see where it led out to. The reason
At the age of three, my family knocked down down our cabin on Rush Lake and built a house. I am extremely glad my parents made that decision because living there has set up the foundation of my life and who I am today. My favorite things to do growing up on a lake was fishing, catching frogs, swimming, and waterskiing. Even though we didn’t live very close to any of our relatives anymore, I made many new friends there.
...ould hear the creeks soothing sound, the doves calling as dusk approached. The beautiful sound of wild turkeys gobbling in the spring. All the faces of my loved ones came flooding back to me. I couldn't wait to get home!
Every year since I was a freshman in high school my family would all pack into our car and head to Six Flags for my father’s job. This was usually one day I could count on for unexpected entertainment. Each year was a new experience in the making because one year it may be sunny or one year it may rain, but HEY! Its Georgia weather what can you do about it?
Tennessee Williams play The Glass Menagerie relives the horrors of the Great Depression and the effects it had on many people's lives. The story is in many ways about the life of Tennessee Williams himself, as well as a play of fiction that he wrote. However, the story is based on Tennessee and his family's struggle to emotionally deal with the harsh realities that followed the crash of 1929 (807).
My favorite place to go would have to be to Two Buttes lake. This is my favorite place to go because it brings back so many memories from when I was a kid. Theres many different things to do at this place, but the best thing to do at the lake is to go fishing. There are many different kinds of fish in the lake the best fish to catch is either Big Mouth Bass or Trout. Theses kind of fish are the best tasting I think.
One place I would absolutely love to see again is Washington D.C. I went there once with my parents and my brother. On the way to Washington D.C. we had stopped at Georgia and North Carolina and stayed at each place for a few days. When we went, we stayed at my dad’s cousin’s house. Since my dad’s cousin lived in Washington D.C. we didn’t have to drive everywhere, so we just walked. So, while we were staying in D.C., we saw a lot of different sights. For example, we saw Lincoln’s Memorial, Washington’s Memorial, and even saw the White House. While we were there we also checked out a bunch of historical museums.
Community performance can include political debates, social commentaries disguised as autobiographical self-debasing monologues as well as Renaissance Faires with their celebratory and informative performances. Each example can be said to include elements of Brechtian Alienation, even if they are not, perhaps, the performances that Brecht himself had in mind. However, the performances are important in that they force us to examine our own place within both the world of the theater and within our respective realities.
Acting can easily be broken down into three different kinds: stage acting, screen acting, and being a movie star. Each category of acting is very different from one another, with each one having very different requirements. Stage and screen acting have the most differences, while being a movie star is more of a subtype of screen acting.
The play was written by Arthur Miller who was born in Manhattan in 1915 by Jewish immigrant parents. He witnessed the depression and the failing of his fathers businesses. He went to college at the University of Michigan well he wrote and worked with plays.
“Acting is not about being someone different. It’s finding the similarity in what is apparently different, then finding myself in there.” ― Meryl Streep. I love exploring and gaining knowledge about the beautiful craft of acting. During my journey of being an actor, I notice there are two types of actors: stage and film. Stage and film actors are different in their times of rehearsal, their relationship with an audience, and their emotional challenges.
I think that, these kinds of places are meaningful to people because they are natural and people can be there alone, away from their everyday life.
The entire family got together and it was always a last minute thing but no matter what was going on we all decide we would go up to County Park Lake to have family time. There would be my grandma and my Aunts and Uncles and their kids when we pulled up to the parking lot. Under the shade trees the women would be sitting trying to stay cool and the older men of the family stand around a grill they would be sitting up the charcoal pyramid to lite to start grilling the food while the kids where at the tot lot playing the equipment you could hear the laughter of the kids playing . Also the mean talking about which is the best way to grill. The women would be laughing at the guys arguing over which way was bett...
