The Kennedy Assasination Mysteries The Kennedy assassination was a huge part of the 1960's. It still is today due to the lack of information. This lack of information has caused the real truth to become hazy. There are numerous books, web sites, and reports that are filled with stories of conspiracy and lies that were supposedly involved in the Kennedy assassination. This is one of those papers. However, this paper is committed to the research of the truth. The truth being that Lee Harvey Oswald did shoot the President and the Single Bullet Theory is correct. The truth is an important thing to know and in this case it's needed to understand a time in our Nation's history. The truth is a tricky thing to uncover especially in the Kennedy assassination. Mystery surrounds the Kennedy assassination due to its lack of information. This mystery and lack of information is due to the unusual circumstances surrounding the assassination. Although many presidents have been assassinated in the past, President John F. Kennedy's assassination was very different from the earlier assassinations. One of the reasons it is different is that no one actually saw the assassin at the moment of the killing, such as in the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. Another is that the earlier assassinated presidents were killed up close where many people could see what happened and all of the previous assassins confessed to their crime. These differences made the Kennedy assassination harder to solve. In fact, it is still not solved completely. This is why many books and reports that say Lee Harvey Oswald didn't act alone have been published. All that we have to point us to the truth is the evidence collected more than forty years ago. This evidence and information is not clear though, but from it, it has been established that the Grassy Knoll probably didn't hide a second gunman and that the Single Bullet theory could and probably did happen. While we may never know exactly what happened that day, it is best to know to the best of our knowledge what happened that day so one day we can understand that part of our history.
