There are many innovations that are used in everyday life, many of them are useful and often taken for granted. For instance, before vacuum cleaners were invented, to clean, people use brooms to tidy up dirt and garbage. Surprisingly, a rebellious idea was formed that influenced cleaning practices and restrained disease. The idea to invent a machine that would pull dirt and dust was created by a British inventor, Hubert Cecile Booth, known today as the vacuum cleaner.

Before the powerful vacuum cleaner, there was a manually powered machine that was operated in a very difficult way. According to the great idea finder, “The first vacuum cleaners had to be operated manually. Two persons were needed for some machines were too large, one to operate the bellows and the other to move the mouthpiece over the floor. The dust was blown into the air”. This first machine that was operated manually was created by Ives W. Mcgaffey in 1869. This device was made very difficult, society did not adore it because it was really hard for them to operate. Later on, the first powered cleaner was developed by Hubert Cecile Booth. This device was very large, it was driven by an oil engine and had to be drawn by horses because of its size.

The vacuum cleaner is a household appliance that cleans by suctioning dirt and dust. According to “how stuff works” they explained that “ Vacuum cleaners put suction to work when cleaning up the dust and wastes in your house.” The suction is created by an air pump, the vacuum creates a pressure between the inside of the machine and the outside air and dirt where

Today, the vacuum cleaner has been effective in minimizing the amount of work for the domestic cleaner. It has also reduced the time and energy to clean. In other words, vacuum cleaner today has become a percieveable and essential household appliances for most domestic homes, business, and work. Today people use vacuum cleaners for many different reasons. It can be used to vacuum at home, business, work, car, or environmental purposes. In conclusion, vacuum cleaners are one of the greatest household benefits ever invented because it immensely to the world impact on Environmental and health. 760 words.
