“Just tell me what happened,” the detective spat at Harper. “I already told you what -----” Harper spat back. “Well tell me again!” he interrupted. “Fine,” Harper said rolling her big brown eyes, flipping her short brown and kicking her narrow feet on the metal table in front of her. “Get your filthy feet off the table!” the detective growled. “Do you want me to tell you the story or not pops? I’m not getting any younger! She said. Harper had always been a little snobby. “Fine” he said through his teeth. “Great, Now that we have come to an understanding,” she said, flashing her white teeth. “I was sleeping then I heard screaming. I ran to the hallway then to the bathroom where I heard the screaming coming from,” she paused “It…” she trailed off looking at the tiled floor “It was my father…my so called ‘mother’ had stabbed him in the chest right where heart was. When I got there both of them were covered in blood and panting. I can’t say I’m surprised they had always been fighting it was a matter of time before one of them cracked. She ran away and I don’t know where she is but sir you ---” “Finish you story” the detective interrupted. She gulped. “After that coward ran away I called I called the police but by the time they got to my house my father was dead I was covered in blood and my mother was long gone,” She said looking up at the detective. “Do you believe me?” Harper asked wide-eyed. “Harp----” he started. “I TOLD YOU NOT TO CALL ME that call me Alex. Harper is my mother’s name,” she interrupted. “Don’t give me any of the crap! I want a straight answer!”She screamed in his face. “No…no I don’t believe you,” the detective said, avoiding Harpers wide-eyes. “I want my lawyer,” she said as hot tears rolled down her pale, ... ... middle of paper ... ...e expected to hear a great plan. “We jump,” Ponny said causally. Oh my gosh exactly what I didn’t want, Alex thought. “Okay we are just going to -----” the door to the roof bursted open. The Guards swarmed around them ready to fire their guns. Ponny and Alex backed onto the edge of the roof. “Ponny” Alex said nervously. “Yes?” Ponny asked. “I am afraid of heights,” I thought you -----” Ponny started to question. “Well I lied” Alex interrupted. “Any other bombs you would like drop?” Ponny asked annoyed. “Before we… you know, she added. “Yea, as a matter of fact,” Alex said as she carefully turned toward Ponny. “No matter what happens, you’re my best friend,” Alex said proudly to Ponny. “You’re my best friend too!” Ponny gleamed. Then the annoyed guards shot them both. They went over the edge of the roof, plummeting to the ground below them, as best friends.
