Procrastination is postponing or delaying doing a task. Education today is one of the most influential factors for an individual’s life. At times, many students will be facing deadlines to turn in assignments or have the lack to even start something the day they receive the given task hence creating a long stream of procrastination. Roughly, about 95% of college students experience procrastination (Onwuegbuzie). Through analyzing societies influence, self-motivation, and internal factors it'll be clear to see how impactful procrastination can be for one's education and how it's all up to the person to control their fate in society.

Intrinsic motivation stems about from truly doing something because one has much interest in the activity while on the opposite end of the spectrum lies extrinsic motivation which births up as a motivator doing something only for external reward and avoid negative consequences. More than once, people will try to chase this false idea, when the stress piles on, procrastination peaks from the corner. Problematic levels of anxiety increase and the whole way to conquer the panic monster that comes about from procrastination are by going for the task. Many distractions will arise but when understanding how to attack the problem that is, procrastination, it will allow students to create a better environment to learn when stopping it. To get to the core of the problem, there needs to be an understanding of how the problem came about in the first place. From constant exertion of what's expected, student's can feel no interest to do well in education but when allowing themselves to discover their interests and passions, it can come to be that they'll be having something inside motivate them to excel in their work to get the success they
