Biological factors have a way of tying into social factors. Genetics can be a type of foundation where social factors are built upon. Inheriting an outgoing personality helps establish a person’s self-confidence, as it did for me. Being confident in myself has helped me in my social life. As I am confident in who I am and what I believe in, I have found myself comfortable in school, with friends, and with my decisions. Genetics can be known as a variation of hereditary qualities or characteristics. I inherited my mother’s outgoing personality. Inheriting her personality helps me in social settings but it also helps me as an individual. Having an outgoing personality helps create my higher self-esteem and self-confidence. Since I feel that I am confident in myself I believe that it contributes to good mental health and it is easier for me to make good, healthy decisions. I have been in two different social settings for schooling, now that I am in college it has become three. I attended a public elementary school up until 4th grade and then transferred to a private school in 5th grade. My mom found a job at the same school as well, which is why I transferred schools. My father kept his job, as we did not move houses only schools. I attended Christian Life from 5th grade till 10th grade. Christian Life is a wonderful private school with an amazing community. I felt really comfortable there and found myself fitting in with my friends. I also learned that the teachers at Christian Life really care about their students and love to help in any way they can.
