The Importance of Human Development in Terms of Living Conditions in Different Countries
Human development is very important in terms of living conditions in different countries. The statement “any society committed to improving the lives of its people must also be committed to full and equal rights for all” is true. The UN considers three factors to calculate human development in a country. These factors cover many aspects of a country, including social development in a country. Income, education, and healthy living are considered to be the most important factors in human development, which help to rid populations of poverty, and support human rights.
First, the improvement of lives is directly related to human rights. According to the 2000 UN Human Development Report, a more developed country with more rights today, as opposed to 1970, can expect a newborn to live 10 more years, adult literacy cut in half, and infant mortality rates cut by over 40%. The more freedom and rights a person has, the more opportunity, and better chance for a good standard of living. The International Covenant of Economic, Social and Cultural Rights declared that the “rights to food, health, education and privacy were fundamental building blocks of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.” Humans, then, can realize what they are capable of achieving. However, a less developed country with less freedom, demotivates people and takes away opportunity for one to achieve their best. In addition, national security, criminal justice, and freedom of speech are other factors in human and social development. Without these, again, one cannot achieve their full potential.
Second, the UN considers income as is a very important fa...

...gs. This is somewhat linked to the education factor. Full education of a human takes quite a long time. If the person’s life expectancy is not long after educational achievement, there is not much he or she can achieve, especially with no experience. In comparison to a country with much higher life expectancy, the country will usually have a lower human development index.
The UN chooses three very important indicators for human development because they are the simplest way of calculating social development in a country. The more social development, the more human rights the country tends to have. In addition, equal human rights help all humans to achieve anything to the best of their abilities. This tends to lower the poverty rate and raise equality within a country. The more equal a country is, the more developed, as the human development index shows.
Over the years, the social determinants of health (SDOH) have been receiving more attention due to its importance in determining peoples’ health access, health quality and health outcome. The social determinants of health have been described by various scholars as the situation or environmental condition in which people are born, or where they grow, live and work; unfortunately these conditions have continued to affect and determine people’s ability to access proper care.1-5 In other words, the SDOH continues to consciously and unconsciously influence people’s access to most opportunities in life including access to healthcare services both in developed and developing countries.2 This issues have continue to deteriorate in most developing countries increasing people’s susceptibility to multi-morbidity among different age groups, with a slight increase among the elderly.6
In order to understand the issues at play and to propose various solutions, three main concepts would be examined. The focus would be on context of development, self and identity development and social development.
Therefore, it is clear to see that there is no set of human rights that are more important over the other because, each set of rights improves the other set of rights, in some cases you cannot have one without the other, and that if one were to emphasize the importance of one set of rights over the other then the rights that are being neglected will ultimately cause a society to deteriorate because this will negatively impact the development towards enhancing their human rights
There is a notable difference between fundamental human rights and legal rights offered to individuals by their nation. Health care is considered a right to all in some nations while it is not given to all citizens in other countries. Authors Weiss et al., discuss three broad clusters of human rights principles. First generation negative rights are individual civil and political rights that were first approved by national constitutions. They are referred to as negative because civil rights blocked authority figures from interfering with a person’s privacy. Some of these private rights are “freedom of thought, speech, religion, privacy, and assembly, plus the right to participate in the making of public policy.” Second generation positive rights are socioeconomic and associated with twentieth century revolutions focused on redistributing material benefits of certain economic growth. Third generation solidarity rights follow the previous two clusters and relate to collections of people instead of individuals, such as indigenous peoples. A life worthy of being lived is the most fundamental aspect and importance of protecting and human

Education is considered to be one of the most is important thing in our life. we can say that education is the knowledge or the skill that can be taken . Education can teach us as individuals or communities the good things and the bad , it can help us to have a good choice for our future based on our strengths or weakness ( in high school you can gain these skills ) and direct us to our role in society . Some countries do not have good standards in education , resulting in a society having aimless lives. Some of them find themselves as criminals or useless people so they did not feel their role to improve their countries and most of them do not take their responsibilities toward their children, which make the children consider as negative citizens.
The inequality of basic human rights has been an issue around the world for countless decades. In 1948, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was developed as a framework for the world. This document provides “a common standard of achievement for all peoples and all nations” (MacNaughton et al 24). Also, it states “everyone
The role that globalization plays in spreading and promoting human rights and democracy is a subject that is capable spurring great debate. Human rights are to be seen as the standards that gives any human walking the earth regardless of any differences equal privileges. The United Nations goes a step further and defines human rights as,
Due to the problems associated with using life expectancy as a proxy variable for health, many authors use health expenditure as representative of health status. There are some specific reasons for this. According to the World Bank, the differences in health care spending among countries constitute a good starting point for explaining the differences in health levels across countries. (World Bank, 1993). In exploring the relationship between public health expenditure and health status, Rivera found that increases in public health expenditure significantly improve both physiological and physical health. (Rivera B. , 2001). Therefore, this study will use health expenditure per capita as a proxy for health and GDP per capita as a proxy for economic growth, in trying to identify the impact of health on economic growth.
...principle was stressed on the individual, establishing the rights of life, autonomy, and protection (“Human Rights”). These constitutional rights impacted individuals as they could live without fear knowing that they are secure (“Human Rights”). The next principle impacted groups and prevented these groups from the cruelty of others (“Human Rights”). The notion of human rights will require profound involvement of the United Nations as the 21st century approaches. Currently there are many dictators who are not following the U.N. Universal Declaration of Human Rights. They have denied people of their lives, their liberty, and their capability to upkeep themselves. The United Nations will have to update their system of enforcement to ensure that human rights are met.
While there is no clear definition for ‘human rights’, it is possible to describe them as basic moral and legal rights that all people have, simply in virtue of their humanity. Although human rights are traditionally associated with being civil and political rights, they also include socioeconomic rights. Focusing on a political conception of human rights, it is important to note that not every question of social justice is a human rights issue. Despite UN declarations, many do not consider poverty a violation of human rights. Severe poverty, traditionally defined in terms of low income, concerns insecurity caused by a lack of resources. By the UN dividing its human rights law into two separate treaties, countries are able to endorse civil
Since the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), the discourse of international human rights and its importance has increasingly become indoctrinated in the international community. In the context of political and economic development, there have been debates on how and which rights should be ordered and protected throughout different cultures and communities. Though there is a general acceptance of international human rights around the globe, there is an approach that divides them into civil and political rights and social and economic rights, which puts emphasis where it need not be.
Over the past century, the basic principles associated with the concept of human rights and their universality have become an inextricable component of international and domestic affairs. As moral constructs, human rights help address societal factors on the human condition and continue to operate as the only viable framework in which human progress can be evaluated throughout the world. In this essay, I will examine the development of third-generation human rights within a unified hierarchical framework to describe how their implementation has impacted the advancement and procurement of other human rights.
In a contemporary world, poverty is inter-linked with systemic deprivation of rights and related to the notion of Human Development
Over the past 100 years, the world has changed significantly regarding its freedom and human rights. However, some countries still to this day are experiencing the lack to express those “rights”.
