Recommended: Introduction about gun control

There have been people who are against guns for almost as long as they have been around. Although guns are necessary and part of the amendment some people think they should be banned. Guns are important because they provide instant protection to people before the police could every reach a crime. They are even important for sports because there is even an Olympic sport that revolves around firearms. Also hunting is increasing in popularity more than any other sport. Guns also play a huge role in our economy and if they were to be banned our economy would be critically damaged. Years ago gun sales had highs and lows but now they have been increasing more than ever. The reason is because the threat of guns being banned or heavily controlled has been increased. Guns are very important for the lives and safety of the American people.
Many people use firearms for protection for themselves and their families. Many people get a Concealed Carry License and this allows a person to carry a firearm in a concealed area on them in public. It is known that the total concealed carry permits in the U.S. increased approximately twenty nine percent from an estimated 6.9 million in 2010 to an estimated 9 million in 2012 (nssfnews). It is also said that there have been more crimes stopped by civilians with a concealed carry license rather than a police officer. So, if we were to take guns away how would the citizens protect themselves and even others? That is what the people who are against guns should be asking themselves. People think that if they make the concealed carry license illegal, the crime rate would go down but in reality it would actually increase significantly because if you make that license illegal there would be no way for any law a...
