In the few years of discussing about crimes, there is an important fact that is not recognized by the world: Children and youth are vulnerable to be victimized than an adult can. Not just more likely to be offenders, young people are also more likely to be the victims of an abuse attack in many different ways.
Children are victimized in many different ways like sexual and physical assaults, sexual exploitation, neglect, homicide, and abduction. And it will be hard for them to recover depending on how long they were getting abuse. These are the crimes that can affect the children's in the future.
Children will witness violent crimes about every day, including homicide, rape, and mostly domestic violence. Sometimes children who witnesses crimes do not suffer physical injury, but have emotional consequences of viewing or hearing violent acts that are severe and affect the in the future. Children who witness violence crimes experience many of the same symptoms and children who are victims of violence will be in the mind forever, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

... In conclusion, it is clearly shown that domestic violence has a negative effect on the children who witness it. An expanding body of research suggests that childhood trauma and adverse experiences can lead to a variety of negative health outcomes (Anda & Chapman & Dube & Felitti & Giles & Williamson, 2001, p.1). In fact, childhood stressors such as witnessing domestic violence and other household dysfunctions are highly interrelated and have a graded relationship to numerous health and social problems (Anda & Chapman & Dube & Felitti & Giles & Williamson, 2001, p.2). It is obvious and clearly shown that the children who witness domestic abuse have serious long-term mental effects.
According to RAINN, (2009) approximately 10 per cent of all victims of sexual assault and abuse are adult and juvenile males. In terms of the nature of assault, real figures include a compendium of reported incidents ranging from unwanted sexual touching to forced penetration. To qualify this statement, it must be understood that the percentage does not reflect a vast number of crimes that go unreported due to issues that will be discussed in the present paper.
Child abuse in general is quite complex and at the same time one of the most challenging social issue facing people all around the USA. Child abuse cases have been recorded in all the states of the USA. The cases occur in all areas be it cities, small towns, suburbs, and even in rural areas. The vice also happens in all types of families regardless of the ethnic origin of the family or the even family income (UNICEF, 2015). It is thus important that effort is put into reducing cases of child abuse.
In conclusion is that there is a lot of that can happen if children is in a violent community whether the children being violated or as just as witness and it have a different kind of effect that the children can have, and my opinion the worst effect is the children is going to become one of the one who do the violation too, because if the children do the violation is the same as the one who do the violation. Besides that all the effect have a big impact to the child, whether moral or physically and the impact will be carries with them until they grow up.

Although, in recent years several steps have been taken to prevent the maltreatment of children it seems that child abuse is still prevalent in today's society. There is no exact number of victims because it difficult to measure the exact amount of children going through abuse. Child abuse almost always occurs in private, and because abuse is often hidden from view and its victims may be too young or too frightened to speak out, experts in child welfare suggest that its true prevalence

Throughout the course of one’s lifetime, there are countless events that shape the personality, actions and mentality of that individual. Some of these events will affect the individual in a positive way allowing great life opportunities, while other events will unfortunately affect the individual in a negative way which can lead to disorders. Among the various events that can affect a person, one of the most common occurrences that some children witness early on in their lives that deeply affect their long-term mental health is being a witness to domestic violence. Research and observations that were studied revealed that there are multiple factors that can contribute to a child witnessing domestic violence. The more categories that the child falls into, the more likely they are to develop mental health issues later on in their life (Meltzer, Doos, Vostanis, Ford, and Goodman, 2009). The research conducted by Meltzer et al. (2009), was used to study the factors that were intertwined with domestic violence, as well as to better understand the needs of children who have witnessed the violence at a young age.
When a child witnesses domestic abuse it can have many different effects on the child. From my research I found that one of the most common effects on the child were mental health problems. In one study, conducted in New Zealand, young people that reported high levels of exposure to inter-parental violence had elevated rates of mental health problems (Fergusson & Horwood, 1998, p.1). Some of the least severe mental health problems included anxiety, inability to focus, and nightmares (Brescoll & Graham-Bermann, 2000, p.2). But these problems, which appear to be less severe, can also be the symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (Brescoll & Graham-Bermann, 2000, p.2). When one thinks of child abuse, usually the first thing that comes to mind is physical harm, but the issue is actually much more complex. The abuse of a child can also be manifested in verbal and emotional forms, as well as in sexual molestation. All forms of child abuse generally result in similar emotional disorders and behavioral issues, but the major consequences of sexual abuse, such as mental or emotional scarring, promiscuity, and the tendency of former victims to become sexual abusers, cause it to be the most severely damaging form of child abuse.
Exposure to violence can harm a child. It can harm a child emotionally, mentally, socially and physically as well. Juveniles who are exposed to violence tend to have a higher chance of difficulty in school. Juveniles who are exposed to violence also have a higher chance of abusing drugs, alcohol. In addition to that, juveniles who are exposed to violence tend to have behaviors that are more aggressive than normal.
It is said that two out of three children are exposed to violence either directly, as victims, or indirectly, as witnesses. Violence can include any behavior involving physical force that is intended to hurt someone, or emotional damage that can hurt someone as well. We can easily conclude from this that violence is not good. However, children are being exposed to violence every day, and as they are exposed to violence, they become more violent. This can be shown in my following examples that include violence from media, video games, and child abuse.
Most children are exposed to violence than adults are now a days. Violence can lead to physical, mental and being afraid to be social with other. Most children that suffer have many problems such as reckless behavior, anxiety, and depression, plus many more. They could have other health problems such as academic and being involved in trouble such as going to juvie or even prison. Violence could affect a child negatively for their abilities and their cognitive performance.
