Time is one of the many things that money can’t buy. When you lose time, there is no way you can get it back. Time management skills are very important and I definitely need to work on gaining these skills and implementing them in my daily life. Ever since I was a little boy, I would always waste time. Now that I am old and especially in college, I realized that time is not on my side. When you’re in college, everything seems to be moving at a fast pace. From assignment to test, there is very little time in between. My time management skills are at an all-time low and I am doing everything in my power to improve these crucial skills.
The past couples of weeks were very busy for me. I was busy doing homework and preparing for exams at the same time. This stress was the reason that forced me to start researching about time management. In my research, I have learned a lot from various articles. I was very happy after I started to implement the lessons from the articles in my daily life. The main enemy that all articles focused on was procrastination. All of this began after I was tired of who I am, and decided to completely change my life. I realized that using planners and calendars is very helpful. I find satisfaction at the end of the day when I cross off everything that was on my list. When I put my head on the pillow every night, I feel like I accomplished something. This might not be true for others, but I personally feel happy after I complete a busy day. I have also discovered that I like reflecting on things like time management. For someone like me who have struggled with time management for years, I like reflecting on my past and I like for others to read my story and learn from it.
