Introduction
Sustainable environment practices are important in order to support smart growth. As humans, the environment ‘the Earth’ is our home. It is where we live, breathe, eat, raise our children, etc. Our entire life support system is dependent on the well-being of all the species living on earth. In other word is biosphere where all living things are inter-dependent to each other. Unfortunately the planet is in danger, the environment deterioration threatens our earth’s natural resources and many species of animals and plants are nearing distinction where most of them are nonrenewable resources. Therefore, as a responsible human kind, the challenge is to take a drastic action so that we can make a differences in our lifetime to save our home.
Toxic tides: risks from harmful microalgae
This article was written about the urges of monitoring our local coastal waters from harmful algal bloom (HAB). HAB or red tide also referred as discoloration of water happens when the presence of sudden population of a toxic-producing microalgae caused by the enrichment of water. It was not only paint the water red, but some cases it turn the water cloudy, brown or foamy. This phenomenon also known as eutrophication was happened due to the process by which a body of water becomes enriched in dissolved nutrients (phosphate, nitrogen, etc) that can stimulate the growth of aquatic plant life which usually resulting in the depletion of dissolved oxygen necessary for marine's life.
Among the area that have severely affected was in Sabah where mass mortality of marine life has been first reported in 1976. In early 2013 at least, 40 civilians poisoning from consuming contaminated shellfish has been reported in Sepaggar and Inanam near Kota Kinab...

Conclusion
Until recently environmental issue has been largely ignored in conventional economic analysis and decision-making, whose main objective has generally focused on profit maximization. Countries that disagree over the nature and scope of the threats the environment faces and the way to deal with those threats, with scientific, cultural, and economic considerations all playing roles in these disagreements. However, it is the responsibility of everyone to protect our environment. Let us fulfill our responsibilities in environmental protection, creating a quality ecological environment and sharing wonderful green living together.
