As a matter of fact, he was America’s first president. He served two terms from 1789-1797 ("George Washington."Www.history.com.). Washington didn’t really want to lead the nation at first; he just wanted to live his life at home and not worry about leading anymore. But, the first presidential election was held on January 7, 1789, and Washington won handily ("George Washington."Www.history.com.). Everyone saw him as a good leader and thought he would be the right man to lead the country, so he gave in.
George Bush and Leadership George W. Bush, the 43 President of The United States of America, is one of the greatest leaders we have ever seen. In this essay I will describe why, I feel that Mr. Bush is a highly qualified leader for this country. Mr. Bush is highly educated, has the aptitude for being the President and is a great communicator. Mr. Bush is also a person of strong constitution or stability, extremely motivated and cooperative. The later being extremely important when one considers the close ratio of Democrats to Republicans in the U.S. House and Senate.
Abraham Lincoln is regarded by many Americans as the greatest president to ever hold office in the history of the United States, and his reputation is definitely well deserved. Lincoln wasn't scared to stand up and fight for what he knew was right. He was convinced that within the branches of government, the presidency alone was empowered not only to uphold the Constitution, but also to protect, and defend it. Lincoln was able to lead our country and preserve the Union, keeping the United States from splintering during the devastating times of the Civil War. As President, he built the Republican Party into a strong national organization, and he rallied most of the northern Democrats to the Union cause.
He is considered that as the first President, he was the best and most fit for his position. There are many Presidents that have been compared to George Washington, such as Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt.
Who do you think is America’s most iconic hero? In my opinion George Washington is America’s most iconic hero of all. The reason why is because what other United States president can say he freed us from the ruthless rule of Great Britain and King George, or say he helped write and brainstorm the ideas for the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States? George Washington was America’s first true hero that was born in this great country we all proudly call the United States. George Washington is the best example of an American hero because he has done so many things to get us to where we are today.

George Washington was a very intelligent and clever man. He was a great leader of the continental army, lead America off on a great foot to win Independence, and became a founding father of the United States of America. His greatest friend was Henry Knox, and James Madison served under Washington and later became his secretary of state. But behind his fighting background, who was he really?
People believed and listened to John F. Kennedy because he had such a high level of credibility. If being elected president wasn 't enough, he came from a long line of politicians; his father being a business man and a politician raised three political leaders. George Washington: A True Hero In this day and age, George Washington’s name is so acclaimed and reputable, it holds a significant amount of meaning in itself. Not much has changed in the 239 years since he became a national hero to the people of a land who yearned to be free from British oppression. Far back into the past, becoming a hero may have meant committing dangerous and magnificent feats, and that still holds somewhat true today. And after his death the empire fell almost immediately. Both Alexander the Great and Augustus Caesar were great leaders in their time. However, history has proven that Augustus was the better leader. Both men did enjoy loyalty from their people and both established large empires, bringing wealth and success to their nation. Although both men had great minds, it was Augustus who thought ahead to the future, securing the future with peace, not war, as Alexander did.
