Leadership influences a group of people to achieve a common goal (McKenna, 2012). It is the inner ability which is comes from irrespective of power and position. A leader inspires, persuades and leads with personal relations. Leader achieves goals and creates challenges with the support of others. Leader believes in sharing of effort, vision and success within the limits. They achieve challenges in tough times to perform the ability to embrace the willingness of managing others. Leader supports in crisis and acts as a mentor in building the skills for future innovations. Leader manages and control people, creates motivation, brings friendly atmosphere. Leader first understands and love people to put them in action.
Leadership Traits
1. Ambition
Leaders create passion to reach new goals for the followers. Followers follow the path to create new opportunities. Ambition is an aspiration and a discipline that can be practiced by all levels in organizations and at all stages. Leaders are driven by a sense of purpose that goes beyond just achieving success. They aspire to build respect, trust, and commitment.
2. Patience
Leaders manage time to know the characteristics of the future success. Followers use strategy and stability to achieve the goals. Leaders must be objective enough to step back and remove personal opinions and begin to see the situation at hand through the other person’s lens. Leader requires patience to carefully evaluate tension points. How they are managed by others may reveal problem solving patterns that can help us anticipate the unexpected and get closer to understanding the root causes of problems.
