Happiness is finding myself always having a positive outlook on life.
Happiness is knowing I’m worth something.
Happiness is going to bed at night dreaming of how great my life is ahead of me.
Being able to say you are genuinely happy is something everyone looks for in their life time, especially me. An important aspect of happiness is that there is enough of this emotion for everyone to share. It can be hard sometimes to realize that people’s sources of happiness are not all the same. And that is why the world is so diverse, each and every one of us are trying to find our happiness, whichever it may be. But could you pinpoint what makes you happy right at this moment in time? Or even have the slightest clue if that will make you happy in the near future? I guess those are questions we all ask yourself and very few have answers to. But that’s the purity of happiness-not knowing what could happen next- that makes everyone want this not

I spent most of my afternoons spending quality time with my grandparents. They live in Maquoketa so finding time to make it down there was difficult. But when I did find time, it was never time wasted. I would spend hours upon hours baking with my grandma. Cookies, cakes, brownies, you name it. And whenever we would get done, the house would smell of powdered sugar and vanilla. Those two smells bring me right back to my childhood. The smell of her downstairs kitchen is something I will always remember. These small details made me realized how happy I would be when I am at my grandparents. It made me feel like life was a lot simpler. Phones didn’t exist and the T.V. was never turned on. It was just me and my grandma, talking away, baking away. This experience opened my eyes to a whole new happiness. This happiness was much different than the others. I knew that this happiness would not last forever, so I need to cherish this happiness while I still
Suppose I started this off automatically with a clear definition over what happiness really is. It would result in a highly unlikely answer simply because everyone’s perspective on happiness would be different and could not be accounted to be true for everyone. According to Jane Kenyon’s poem, Simon Critchley’s critique, Douglas Preston’s encounter with the famous religious and political figure Dalai Lama, and Mihaly Csikzentmihalyi’s theory, each hold a different view on what happiness really means and why it is such a concern to people.
Happiness is a key to everybodys life. Even the most depressed man on earth has a little happiness deep down inside. Its what keeps us striving to fulfil our needs and wants on an everyday basis. There is not one kid who does not get excited over a dollar to spend at the candy shop. What about the feeling of getting a promotion at your job, or even finding the cure for cancer. Being happy is not just healthy, but it is also rewarding for each and every individual. We strive to find anything that will turn a bad day to a good one. Individuals will compromise to attain their happiness. You can not get what you want without giving something first.
A lot of people wonder what true happiness really is if they will ever experience true happiness. If you ask a person, what is true happiness, everyone will have different happiness. True happiness is not only found in one place and it is not always found in the same place for everyone. In Fahrenheit 451 Montag thought that he was happy when in reality he was not even in love with Mildred and neither was he happy. This is proven when Clarisse puts the dandelion under his chin. True Happiness can be not worrying about anything and letting loose without a care in the world. It can also mean freedom, even spending time with loved ones and family.
What is Happiness? Well that’s a question that everyone asks to themselves. Happiness is not something that you can trade; it’s honestly what people find. They want happiness and want to know they will always be happy. But Happiness is like air and water it is a hard emotion to grab on to in one’s hand. How do you know you have happiness? Can you feel it? Does it just happen? These are questions everyone wants a answer to.
People experience emotions daily and is constantly changing due to their situation, even if the person may seem like a robot they still have the feeling of contempt which is still a basis of happiness. Before happiness became a modern way of living for us, we were told to show less emotion, more contempt if anything but throughout the years we began to change our focus. We in the past have had our focus on the economy and progression as a nation, however as explained in the article “The happiness effect” 246-47 By Alice Ghent, our economy might have been raising but our global sense of general well being has not. The effects of happiness vastly alters our lives in more ways than one. It can come in all shapes and sizes, it
Happiness is satisfication, being happy doesn’t always mean to have what you want when you want it. Happiness is a state of emotion with positive and fulfilled vibes. Happiness cannot exist if everything in this world went perfectly
[Q6] There is no pure state within the human condition; happiness is a state of mind, a mentality. Any type of relationship can lead to happiness or any other type of state. Everything depends on everything else. Achieving goals is the key to happiness, but it depends on what kind of goals. Intrinsic and extrinsic goals determine what type of happiness you’ll have. Intrinsic goals leads to inner fulfillment, on the other hand; extrinsic goals lead to pleasure and anxiety.

We spend much of our lives focusing upon getting happy. We pursue happiness like it’s a destination on a map that we need to reach before sundown. What is happiness? Will this endless pursuit result in happiness?

Happiness is an inner state of well-being and fulfilment, and therefore it has to come from inside. Every individual has his or her own emotions and way of thinking and as a result of this no one can really say what happiness is and what happiness is not. However, universally, happiness is a by-product of a healthy attitude and viewpoint. Happiness exists in everyone whether they choose to acknowledge and believe it or not. It is not rare nor is it something only the elite have: everyone has it but not everyone recognizes it. Contentment is finding a light at the end of every dark tunnel and in order to experience this we must ignore the pessimism surrounding us and remind ourselves that happiness is not a materialistic object but a choice and frame of mind.
Happiness is a feeling that humans naturally desire. Without it, one feels incomplete. In this generation, happiness has taken on a definition by how we are presented to one another. It is measured by how much money we have, how famous we are, or the things we possess. When in reality, none of these things guarantee a happy life. Happiness is something that cannot be bought with money, but rather, it must be found, earned, sought after. Each and every one of us has our own list of things that we consider to make us happy. However, happiness shines brightest through the relationships we create, and the goals we make for ourselves to strive after. Along with these two essential sources, we then can mix and match those things in life that we enjoy to create our own unique formula for happiness.
Happiness is a feeling that cannot be broken if strong enough, no matter how much sadness or hate is around you. Happiness can come from the smallest thing, for instance, music makes me happy and can easily change my mood, or when I am doing something I love my mood is easily changed. For others it could be whenever you do something well, or right and get recognition for it. It is the easiest feeling to be spread and given out but often neglected and forgotten about which is something we should all be more aware
Happiness, what is it, and why do we strive to achieve it so persistently? Happiness in some points of view is portrayed as the state that is derived from self-awareness of a benefiting action or moment taking place. What of the moments that are not beneficial? Can a person still find moments of happiness and success in discord, a little glimmer of light shining from the deep recesses of our own consciousness? Plucking it from a mere moment, achieved from money, or is it so much more, happiness is the precipice that all strive to gain to better perceive their success. As a person lives, they are in a constant struggle to be happy. For instance, even the United States Constitution makes reference to the idea that every person has the inalienable right to pursue happiness. This was the resulting outcome of the enlightenment from France, spilling out into the rest of the world from 1650 through 1800. This revolutionized the idea that every single person has the inalienable right to happiness or in different views the right to succeed. As to how one peruses or conjures their happiness that is an entirely different concept and completely up to their preferred preference, but it is something that a person needs to find on their own for true success.
Happiness is a state of mind. The dictionary definition is "feelings of joy and pleasure mingled together”. A feeling of happiness is more than just an experience of joy or pleasure. It is a state of mind where the individual feels that “life is good”. As Aristotle says, “happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existence.” I believe that everyone wants to be happy in life. One is abnormal if he prefers to be sad and alone.
