According to PEW’s research, 15% of children are living with two parents who are living in remarriage. Along with that, American’s who are at the age of traditional marriage are getting married later in life, or even forgoing marriage altogether. 34% of children today are living with an unmarried parent, 4% of which are living with cohabiting parents and 30% living with a single parent (PEW, 2014).
Even though choosing to go to college is something that takes a lot of thought, there’s still the idea of how to pay for it. That topic is touched by Robin Wilson in his article, “A Lifetime Of Student Debt? Not Likely.” In his article he talks about how taking out student loans isn’t as bad as it sounds. He argues that taking out student loans is something that you won’t notice in the future, they’ll just be like other bills that need to be paid. Most people who do have student loans, are still able to live a comfortable life, not scrabbling like most would
Various financial gains can be achieved from the decision to return home after college studies for a relatively short period of time. In the majority of cases parents will be willing to help their child knowing that it will take an unnecessary financial burden off of their child’s shoulders while directly benefitting them and setting them up for the future. If a new graduate is having trouble landing a job that can support them then it is not logical to weigh them down with additional burdens that they cannot handle. Boomerang kids are certainly a misunderstood group, but nonetheless, a group on the right path to

However, when it comes to Obama’s free community college idea, for the first two years, many people skip over the many factors that go into this issue. Some may agree with President Obama’s plan fighting for a fair chance for all student to get a degree and not go into debt receiving an education, and others argue that community college already being inexpensive will only make the system difficult to work with. While making community college free for everyone is considerate, the students with low incomes already get the aid they need without this program and the
Also now more then ever immigration policy has a greater affect on the American people because of the fact that we find our selves living in a time of danger or as some might argue, a perceived danger in regard to terrorism. Also with the proposal of President Bush?s new guest-worker program raises more issues in regard to immigration. We, as a nation, have already begun to strategize alternatives that will accompany us in a new direction. Recognizing the value of hard work and the realization of the American Dream, as it relates to being a homeowner, I am confident that there will be a resolution to the foreclosure crisis. I believe my plan, Help Homeowners Help Themselves, is an innovative concept and if implemented would assist in propelling America in a new direction.
