A more simply definition of what is embodied cognition is the following, not only mind has control over the body but the body influence the way people perform certain cognitive operations. In theory of mind, embodied cognition has been characterized as an alternative of classical cognitivism. Back in the 20s the was a topic similar to what is known today as embodied cognition. Later, a new term was introduced, the two visual pathways theory. This term implies that any action which requires vision for action is based in egocentrically information, which is coded regarding the place, and spatial attributes of targets, in contrast to the processes of object identification which is based on allocentrically coded information or depending on the scene information (Fisher and Zwaan, 2008).
Continuing, the theory of event coding is based on the belief are cognitively represented in term of theirs perceives events (Fisher and Zwaan,2008). This theory derives from the notion that actions resulting from the anticipation of sensory consequences, which comes with ideo motor theories of cognition. From that point of view it is assumed that an agent knows what will happen from the event which is taking place and the anticipation for that to happen helps to select and guide the action, which might lead to an internal action simulation process (Wolpert, Doya & Kawato, 2003 as cited in Fisher and Zwaan,
