Education is the key to success because it opens entryways for individuals of all foundations, and it extends the human mind with knowledge and understanding. The immense measure of knowledge increased through education equips people to take care of issues, teach others, and execute life-changing thoughts. For example, when Dr. Bethel asked for ten things that are Bahamian to be listed, although a simple task Bahamians were unable to list things that actually demanded them to use their minds or that has anything to do with Bahamians. For this reason, defining one’s identity has been a problem in The Bahamas for years. With education the obstacle of Bahamians not being able to define their identity can be overcome. Subsequently, Bahamians do not believe that education is of our nature. James A. Baldwin, an African American novelist, essayist, playwright, poet, and social critic says that, “education is indoctrination if you're white - subjugation if you're black.” Similarly, Dr. Nicolette Bethel in her essay noted that, “thinking is a white person’s pastime, while feeling is the prerogative of the African. Their response may be being a tycoon, a celebrity, renowned like the president, drive a Bentley or something of that nature. Featuring youth’s ego is a huge part of the economy. Why? On the off chance that 90% of the youths in society feel insecure and inadequate, marketers and businessmen will make them feel that they will be acknowledged more if people purchase their products. Such products include an enormous house, a great car with rims that one can't generally bear, however would it truly fulfil them? For to what extent? Youths become hooked because the economy of marketers supply their status. Unstable individuals purchase a considerable amount of stuff they do not need to awe their companions.
