We would have to stop what we were doing and go spend time with them. I strongly believe that is what makes us the family we are today. My family is known for sitting down and just being that close family. I am the youngest child by five years and so I was an only child at home for many years. When my brother left for college, the brother that is closest to me, I was pretty sad when he left because I didn 't have the sibling to talk to at the dinner table. I did have my parents but it wasn 't the same as having another sibling at the table. I eventually got used to it and it was good to just have that time with my parents. The best part was having my siblings get together and come home and we could have more people to talk about and it was so much better having more people around the table! I bet if you sit down with your family you will make memories that you will remember for the rest of your life. You will also look back when you older and be thankful you sat down with your
When children move away from home and do not go to school but live on their own, they do not always eat very healthy. No one makes food for them, and they do not want to take a lot of time to prepare food for just themselves. Also, they do not want to make a large amount of food for just one person and have too much food left over. This is true for anyone who lives on their own. People who live alone only need to make enough for one person, and they always need to make it themselves unless they go out to eat.

... and exercising regularly. Parents should limit the amount of fast food that their child is consuming. Parents don’t have to completely get rid of fast food, but they should limit going out to eat to once a month. Parents should pack their child’s lunch containing all the main food groups and pack some snacks so they can eat that throughout the day instead of buying snacks for the vending machines. Parents should limit TV and computer time and instead gather the whole family to play outside for at least an hour. Parents should enforce a healthier lifestyle at home so that obesity could be avoided. What children learn at home about eating healthy, exercising and making the right nutritional choices will have an impact on them and affect other aspects later on in life. Focusing on these causes may decrease childhood obesity and lead to a healthier society as a whole.
In summary, parents and schools have the biggest impact on a child’s nutritional choices in many different ways. Parents must be a model for their children and show them how to make good choices in regards to food. Elementary and middle school is where children continue to grow and learn about nutrition. High schoolers display set-in-stone eating habits. However, there is always room to learn and improve. In adulthood, the best way to prevent nutritional diseases such as heart disease, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and cancer is by simply continuing good eating and exercise habits.

...ype of food they are eating. Home is the primary food source for children and that where children should learn on the type of food to eat. Children that know what food are good for their body can benefit them a lot. Knowing the type of food can help them be healthier in life and will not have any health conditions because of the food choices they make. In my perspective I believe that parent should take inconsideration of what food they give to their children and also the weight of their children. It will benefit them in many different ways and will save them money by not taking them to the hospital for health problems. Everyone should be more aware of children being obese because if everyone took part on helping their kids be more healthy it would make a different not just on the type of foods but also just being active can make a difference in their children lives.

Poor eating habits are affecting people all over the world. People are eating unreasonable sized portions five to seven times a day. In the article, Childhood Obesity, written by Jimerson he states, “poor diet and nutrition can negatively affect mood, self-esteem, and school performance as well as weight and the risk for diabetes and other health problems” (39). Schools are beginning to provide students with healthier, more nutritious foods such as fruits, vegetables, and less sugary snacks. Fast food restaurants are rapidly spreading all over the country providing cheap, quick meals all day, everyday. Unfortunately, healthy foods such as meat, vegetables, and fresh fruit are available at a variety of grocery stores and markets for a much higher cost. Introducing adolescents to healthier meals and snacks will gradually decrease the amount of gained weight and, as a result, obesity in today’s children. Our bong only expanded as we grew up. Creating a bond with my brothers and also my sister makes me feel very special because I am able to spend the rest of my life with them. It has been such a blessing to watch all of us grow up and start our own families. As of now, I currently have two nieces and two nephews. It is so surprising to see how much we have all grown. We all have accomplished some of our goals, but more to come. Hopefully in the future our own little families will expand. I tend to have a very special connection with all of my nieces and nephews even though we are far

Instead children should have three healthy meals with snacks in between. It is also important for children to have good self care behaviors (including bathing, washing hands, brushing teeth), and adequate sleep.
