I want to manage my eating habits to lose my weight since my last year of high school because I noticed myself when I face in the mirror. It was a worst experience that I had in my life because I want to lose my weight for consider for my health as well. However, I could not follow up to balance my eating habits because I could not handle within my stress from school, workplace, and financial crisis. Also, I could not find the place to lived in after I transferred into the UC Irvine last year because it was very difficult to find the roommates during that time. Therefore, I ate too much to release my stressors from commuting and financial crisis at the sane time. Therefore, I really want to balance my eating habits like avoiding fast foods at late night for snacks because I think that eating these fast foods at night cause me to gaining weight too much at the end.

I have enough exercise from doing yoga and hiking every weekend with my family. Any time I’m free, I try to do something active that will benefit my physical health. Although I maintain my physical health pretty well, I have a difficult time to eat 3 balanced meals everyday. For example, I skip lunch almost everyday on school days because I have a lot of meetings to attend and don’t have the time to eat. Also, I skip breakfast if I wake up late and need to get to school. The proportion of my total Calories target is 2200 Calories, but my average is 1381 Calories which is under the required intake. Protein’s is 46g, my average consumption is 45g which is one gram lower from my target. Carbohydrates on the other hand shows satisfactory with target of 130g which is 45-65% in Calories percentage, my average consumption is 173g, which is 50% Calories. My Total Fats target 20 – 35% of total Calories, my average consumption is 41% which is over the required consumption. Lower calories will give me less energy but if I lower my fats intake, I will hopefully lose weight. I will have to lower my fats intake by eating less of barbecued and fried pork, beef and chicken, instead, I will try to eat more baked skinless chicken and consume more of whole oatmeal or less white

As a part of the citizens committee, I’m part of making a decision that would involve the whole community. We recently received a grant for several millions of dollars and we get to decide how the money will be used. We narrowed our choices down to an outdoor park or an indoor convention center. The indoor convention center would include theater productions, concerts, acting lessons, and professional meetings. However, it’s more important to use this money toward an outdoor park that will involve our community with camping areas, sport fields, an aquatic center, and miniature golf.
