Though distance education has a fairly costly outlook, it is not at all as expensive as it seems. According to the passage, as long as it is done on a large scale, distance education is capable of being extremely cost-effective (Moore and Kearsley 73). Because of the way distance learning, and specifically, online programs are set up, if few students enroll, they are not as cost-effective as conventional style programs. If a considerable amount of students do enroll in the distance learning program, then it is bound to flourish.
