When being produced, a film goes through many stages. What starts as a vague idea for a story, turns into a cohesive experience for viewers to enjoy. The 16 values of creative intelligence relate to this process in many ways. In the creative process, the fullness is the starting place out of which everything emerges. In film production the physical fullness is the script. The script outlines events which are going to occur throughout the film, all of the scene changes, plot twists, and even what the ideal weather conditions should be for a particular shot. The mental fullness of film production is the first idea for the piece. The entire movie and all of it’s components eventually come out of the initial idea. In film production the direction comes from the director. The director conducts the film and helps guide the actors, cameras, and general decisions regarding the piece as a whole. They have the end product in mind and guide the production in the direction of that. Without direction, the idea of the film could be lost or the film could lose continuity. Progress means positively moving towards a desired end goal. In film production, the progress is the milestones of creating the film. The first step towards progress would be the script, then the storyboard, then the casting: all of these steps are signs of progress towards a completed film. If the production of a film stopped progressing, the film may never be completed. An example of this could be a lack of capital to produce the film. Transcending means to go beyond boundaries or what is apparent. When viewing a film, it ideally takes us into a new world that we feel immersed in. Without transcending, it would no longer be a film.
