The Importance Of Climate Change

Good Essays
Around the world, every day we have changed. Climate Change is the seasonal changes in the world, changes that occur in the weather patterns, over a significant period. These climate patterns play an important role in shaping natural ecosystems, the human economies and cultures that depend on them. Most of the changes that have occurred over the last 50 years are very likely due to human activities. Climate Change can be defined by the differences between average weather conditions at two separate times. The climate may change in different ways, over different time span and at different geographical scales. When climate change occurs, temperatures can increase dramatically. When the temperature rises, many different changes can occur on Earth.…show more content…
Almost a quarter of the species present on land today might disappear by the year 2050. Underwater species also face a huge risk due to climate change. This is especially true for the species that are sensitive to warm temperatures. There are multiple components of climate change and are presumed to affect biodiversity on all levels – from organism to biome. At the most basic level, climate change will be able to reduce the genetic range of populations due to rapid migration and directional selection. Most studies are focused on higher organizational levels and for very few species. There are many reasons for climate change including natural cycles of the earth, however, the major contributors to the climate change are global warming. Other climate change like rising sea level causes flood which gives rise to malaria and other parasites, increasing coastal erosion, destroying people’s homes in coastal states and so many. Higher temperature causes problems to the existence of life on this planet and many important species of the plants and animals are endangered. Longer and severe heat waves of the environment cause more heat-related injuries and higher atmospheric temperature increase rate of water evaporation from smaller water bodies. The ever-rising temperature has different effects in different regions, in some areas, it raises water levels and in some areas, it decreases water levels. Freshwater availability is declining all over the world, which is a vital resource of life on this
