1. For Christian Service Learning I volunteered at Salvation Army Ingle Farm. Salvation Army is non-profitable organisation that helps people around the world because it’s a part of the Christian Church. Moreover, during the CSL I had to help sell second hand equipment’s such as clothes, toys, and books. On the first day I was given the duty of cleaning up the store to make it look spotless. On the second day I was given the role of putting price tags onto the equipment’s that did not have one. On the third day I was given the responsibility of helping customers with their need and on the final day I was in charge of helping a new volunteers with their duties.
2. Parable of the rich man and Lazarus (Luke 16:19-31)
During the parable a man named Lazarus was homeless and poor, so he decided to visit the house of a rich man to beg for food and money. When the rich man saw Lazars at his house he instantly told him to leave and go somewhere else. A few days later both man got ill and died. The body of the rich was wrapped with golden cloth and was buried in a special place, whereas the body of the Lazarus was left on the streets. Christian Service Learning has taught me that that helping someone will not change the world, but it will change the world for that person. During my work experience I gained new skills and experience that will help me in my future career because I need a lot of experience to gain a job in the building industries. Small things such as a week of experience will increase my opportunity against other candidates to obtain a job in the future. I will definitely do it again because I want to get more leadership skills and confidence in the environment I’m not used to. Moreover, on the last day of work experience the manager gave me a good feedback about how well I worked with the team members and that he would definitely allow to work there again in the
