I believe that on a date being you is how anyone should act. People should behave like normal, not changing oneself to make an impression. Even though your date might not like you, being yourself makes a stronger and honest relationship. It shows whether that person is the right fit for you and if the relationship will last long. If that person is a right it, you know you don't have to pretend. It also shows whether the person really likes themselves and if they respect themselves as a person. You have to love yourself a hundred percent before you can start to love someone else. Either being on a date, or not being on a date, being you is the way everyone should act. For example, if you were to go on a date and say you like Chinese food, when you hate that kind of food; you might always go there to eat because you said you "liked" Chinese food. This scenario might not only be a date, could also be a friend’s night out. A Chinese place might be the spot you guys always eat in the long run and that person would always have either pretend they’re eating, not eat, or actually eat it and bare through it. On the other hand, if you were to just say you don't like Chinese food, you could've had a nice date with cheese burgers instead. One …show more content…
