Animals Rights Is it fair that animals have to go through abuse neglect and torture every day over a simple fact that humans do not believe animals do not have rights? Humans use and kill animals for food or clothing. Because people or humans think of animals as property so they do as they please with animals Some people believe that animals should be treated in the same way humans are and have familiar rights, where others think that it is more important to use them as they desire for food and medical research. This Paper will discuss both points of view. With and explanation of animals, people believe it is acceptable for several reasons.
Many companies still say that animal tests are the most likely to hold up in court if a human is injured by a cosmetic or household product and, for that reason, they will struggle to hold on to animal-based research. We need to continue to to find new and improved alternatives so that we may preserve the lives and dignity of animals, but can also ensure the consumer of product safety. Many manufactures such as Avon, Revlon, and Estee Lauder have ceased animal tests. the fact that companies are supporting alternatives and reduce animal usage is a good sign but the fight is clearly not over. This project has educated my family and I to be more caring consumers and we will use are buying power to pressure companies into banning animal testing within the commercial market.
Certain animal rights groups have acted out with violence against people who believe that animal experimentation is not a bad thing. There are some laws that have been passed to protect animals like the Act of 1986 which makes sure animals suffer as little as possible; and the Cruelty to Animals Act which was passed in 1876 (Franklin). People are making an effort to save as many animals as possible when trying to experiment. Animal experimentation may be very harmful to animals and inhumane but it is the only thing right now that is helping to discover new medical advances. Animal experimentation has been used to save many people’s lives and other animal lives.
I believe that we should respect animal’s life like we respect others. The only way we can look at animal rights is to see them as human. Just because they cannot communicate with us humans, doesn’t mean that they don’t deserve the same respect as humans. They have the same 5 emotions as humans, and have families of their own, yet the scientists that do animal testing treat them like they are nothing. The alternative methods of animal testing should replace the animal testing experiments the instead of millions of animals suffering.
As you begin to take a stand in animal cruelty and defend the animals of the world, remember the unnecessary cruelty involved in animal testing, how to regulate the process of animal testing to make it less inhumane, and the benefits of the solution and possible consequences that will occur if the solution is not implemented. Humans cannot achieve the high value of morality if we do not view every creature equally and treat all creatures with compassion. With that being said I urge you to consider your personal beliefs, your pets, your family, how would you feel if these tests were being run on them? Answering that question I hope and I know you will begin to make a change and help save the animals of America.
The Animal Welfare Act puts restrictions on experimenting, transporting, and researching on animals. “The intent of congress in passing this act... ... middle of paper ... ...aid to help society, however, others feel that it hurts society. This controversial topic causes people to have such a wide variety of views on the subject. To make it a bit fairer for everyone, laws and regulations have been passed that favor to all of the sides. These laws consist of ways to limit the number of animals being tested and how they can be tested.
Thousands of years ago, humans began to use animals for the purpos... ... middle of paper ... ... say that they are against animal cruelty but won’t stand up for it. They either do not really know what is actually happening to the animals for them to be able to have these things, or they don’t care. There are people and organizations that do care, though. Some of these types of non-profit organizations include PETA(People For Ethical Treatment of Animals) and ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). Both of these organizations fight for the rights and well-being of animals.
In this research paper I will inform you, the reader of the horrible experiences that innocent animals have to endure due to the fact that supporters believe that animal experimenting is a humane method of bettering our lives. Animal experimentation is a very substantial issue that has been debated for a large period of time. The antagonism of animal experimenting is not a new issue. Numerous people support the usage of animals in research and others strongly disagree. For many years it has been opposed by many animal rights activists who created the 1876 Cruelty Animal act which brought about the welfare of laboratory animals (Monamy, 3).
Throughout history, animal testing has played an important role in leading to new discoveries and human benefit. However, what many people forget are the great numbers of animals that have suffered serious harm during the process of animal testing. Animal testing is the use of animals in biological, medical, and psychological studies. The development and enhancement of medical research has been based on the testing of animals. There are many questions being asked if animal research is good or not or if the benefit for us is way greater the abuse of animals.
I say, as human we should rely on humans and on our own aspects. These animals that we use to do research and test on for medical purposes have been changing throughout history since the BC era. Gandhi once said “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judge by the way its animals are treated” (Animal Testing and Medicine). If the human society does live up to what Gandhi said, then we should have a good moral value. I agree with Gandhi statement, many animals are tested on, have been in cruel situation and so on, but testing on animals is wrong choice.
