“Your commercials suck...The iPad is revolutionizing the world, and we need something big. You’ve given me small shit.” (Love) Steve Jobs made this statement to the man in charge of organizing Apple’s ads because Jobs believed his ad team wasn’t showing the true beauty of Apple technology. It is true Jobs was a bit vulgar but because of this the team produced one of the most visually captivating ads for technology the world has ever seen. Steve Jobs created the most powerful technology franchise to ever exist. The technology he created has revolutionized the way people think and communicate throughout the world. Jobs changed the world by introducing products such as the iPhone, iPad, and the Macintosh. His company, Apple, is among one of the …show more content…
It was Steve Jobs’ controversial personality though that contributed to his success by allowing him to learn how to properly run and control his company successfully and push those around him to make Apple great.
To start, is true Steve Jobs damaged many relationships in his life and hurt many people by the way he poorly treated others. The way he treated his daughter is as one of them. “Jobs denied paternity of his daughter Lisa for years. She and her mother ended up living on welfare.”
(Love) However this was necessary though for him because Jobs’ was not mature enough to handle a daughter at the time. He went out and pursued the dreams he had in mind for Apple instead. Jobs had to mature and learn in order to do the right thing. Apple was struggling in the
80s at the time and it can truly be shown how immature Jobs was during this period when his company dismissed him from being CEO in 1985. After his release Jobs went out and learned to preserve in this trying time and learn from his mistakes. During this ten year span he started up companies like Pixar that is now a world know, successful movie animation company. By doing this he learned from the mistakes he made with Apple and now knew how to truly make

“He ultimately made the situation right -- he started paying child support and reimbursed the state of California for years of back child support. He ended up connecting with Lisa and she became a member of his family.” (Love) Jobs fully amended things with his daughter in the end but treating his daughter poorly in the beginning allowed him to go out and learn how to make his company successful and truly appreciate his daughter for who she was. The controversial way Jobs treated people is was truly allowed him to learn how to thrive as an entrepreneur.
In transitions, Steve Jobs was knows to be very hard on his employees, even to the extreme sometimes, but it was this pushing that helped make the company so renowned and great. "You guys don 't know what you 're doing. I 'm going to get someone else to do the ads because this is fucked up." (Love) Steve Jobs made this statement to the team in charge of making the print ads for the Bondi Blue iMac. The team was getting the colors wrong for the print ads and Jobs furious because he believed they could look so much better than that. Once
Jobs voiced his opinion about the ads the team quickly got together and constructed a

Steve Jobs and his friend Wozniak started to create their very first computer, and it came out a lot better than what they thought it was going to be. With very little education, the first computer that came out was extraordinary. “It was the first single-board computer with built-in circuitry allowing for direct video interface, along with a central ROM, which allowed it to load programs from an external source” (“Steve P. Jobs”). Without the education that most people get, for someone who dropped out of college, Jobs created such a powerful computer without the knowledge that most people have. Jobs computer that he created along with his friend was so astonishing a second computer came out. “A year later, the Apple II was launched with a simple, compact design like the Apple I, plus a color monitor” (“Steve Paul Jobs”). The first computer that Jobs created was excellent enough to create a second one, which was also a superior computer. Even though Jobs dropped out of college, he was still intelligent enough to create one of the biggest companies in the world. Apple incorporations was going strong until one day the company decided to let Steve Jobs go,...
The first computer that Jobs and his partner created was very successful and if it weren't for competition that might have been the end of it. Jobs had to continue expanding and coming up with new and more advanced technology in order to beat the competition and stay ahead of the game. Some people may argue that Apple products would continue expanding even if America was under a capitalist system. This is false because if America was under a capitalist system the government regulation would decelerate the progress he was making and Apple may never have reached the potential it has reached today. The power of competition played a key role in the success and development of the innovative company
He and Mike Markkula ( one of the orignal investors of Apple Co.) knew that contrary to the popular saying people do judge a book by a cover and that people form their opinions about a company and its products based on the way its presented and packaged. Hence, Steve Jobs paid immense attention to the BOX of The Macintosh and forced the designers to come up with new innovative ideas. . He obsessed over the design of the boxes in which the iPods and iPhones were kept, and insisted on adding a handle when the candy-colored new iMacs were introduced, adding a needless expense in order to make the product a bit more friendlier.
A boy, adopted by middle class parents, who dropped out of college after six months, decided to begin his own business, and he stated his business on 1 April; April Fool’s Day (Dernback, n.d.). Society would presume that a company with such a colorful beginning would most likely not survive its infancy stage, but that is not the case for this story. In 1976, this company began with three men and one thousand dollars, but it started a movement that would revolutionize the world, Apple Computer was born. By the time Steve Jobs was twenty-five years of age, he was worth over a hundred million dollars (Dernback, n.d.). Jobs not only had an idea, he had a plan that would lead to the success of Apple. Jobs understood that “Marketing is much more
Steve jobs’ ignored the labor conditions for the employees who worked in China (Williams, 2012). According to Williams (2012), “the dark side of Apple and perhaps a reflection of Jobs’ leadership style are the labor conditions in Apple’s Foxconn manufacturing plants in China. In reaction to a spate of worker suicides where fourteen died in 2010, a report by twenty Chinese universities described Foxconn factories as labor camps and detailed widespread worker abuse and illegal overtime.”Also, Steve Jobs imposed harsh conditions on employees in order to keep Apple’s information in a safe place (Williams, 2012). According to Williams (2012), “Steve Jobs imposed harsh punishments on individuals who violated the secrecy rule by sharing information
because he was a hard worker and came to work on time.” After saving money and working
The development of Apple Inc. came during the unstable economic times of the 1970’s. Best friends and college dropouts, Steve Jobs and Stephen Wozniak pooled their electronic and business skills to market what was to become the first personal computer. Stephen Wozniak had designed a small computer, the Apple 1, for the enjoyment of some friends at a Homebrew Computer Club meeting. The Apple 1 developed in Steve Jobs’ bedroom and garage, while he envisioned the commercial potential of a personal computer that could help families with personal finances and small businesses with day to day tasks. Vision, drive and creativity allowed this entrepreneur to take the risk to create a business. The challenge of building that business and the desire to control his destiny required passion and perseverance along with innovation.
There were many setbacks for Jobs, but this had never discourage him. Instead, he started a new beginning. There was a marketing and production issue that caused Jobs to leave the company in 1985. He then began a new hardware and software enterprise called NeXT Inc. Later, he invested $50 million in Pixar Studio Animation Studies, which produces numerous award-winning movies. He became the largest shareholder as a result. In 1997, he returned to Apple and became the CEO of Apple again. Jobs faced many obstacles, but he was brave enough to push forward no matter the problem.
From the first Apple computer to the iWatch, Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak started out in the business of kit computers with the Apple I. This initial production run, although popular as a collectible now, will mainly be remembered for helping the company get enough capital to build the Apple II in 1977 - the same year Apple officially incorporated. Steve Wozniak primarily built both these computers and Steve Jobs handled the marketing side. The Apple II drove the company’s revenue until the mid-1980s despite the hardware remaining the same. Apple attempted updates like the Apple III and the Apple Lisa, but these failed to catch on commercially. Although the Apple II was still selling, Apple as a company was in trouble when the 80s began. The 1984 release of the Macintosh was a leap forward for Apple, but in the intervening years between the Apple II and the Macintosh, IBM had caught up. Disappointing revenues from the Macintosh and internal struggles for control led to Apple’s board dismissing Steve Jobs in favor of John Sculley. Steve Inc. Under Sculley, Apple started growing its product lines. John Sculley served as Apple’s CEO
Jobs had a talent at recognizing other talent. Steve Jobs wasn't a tech person, he didn't know computers, or coding, he knew exactly how to get people to work together and had a vision that no one else had. He got the most value out of people, which speaks for itself. Just look at 2 companies he built... Apple and Pixar
Sir Steve Jobs, the almighty co-founder of Apple started apple dreaming big. The Harvard College dropout carried through with that dream. According to Leander Kahney, author of “Inside Steve’s Brain,” “apple went public 1980 with the biggest public offering since 1958” (2008), this offer proved successful as apple soon became a super power. Apple suffered a fall out though, but Steve Jobs came back and rescued them, reviving them to their previous stature.
From the first day on the founders of Apple kept their vision intact, and they spoke it at every turn. They only hired people into the company that had the same visions as they did.
Steve Jobs was a transactional leader who influenced his employees to have a strong desire for work and provided them with vision. He was a task oriented leader his focus was more on task and organization performance than on people. Job got people to follow him rather they like him or not. Job was also an adaptive leader he used himself as an example to lead the company. Jobs was not concerned about how the employees felt his focus was only on their ideas. Jobs had the ability to motivated employees to accomplish more than what they could dream possible. Steve had a demanding personality and was a perfectionist.
Problems with the Board of Directors caused Jobs to leave Apple in 1985; as a result, the company descended into a downward spiral going from...
