The Illuminati and the New World Order Conspiracy

The Illuminati is a secret society that was established in the late 18th century. Not long after it was created, it was supposedly abolished completely. However, many people believe that the Illuminati still exists today. While the Illuminati is an exceedingly broad topic with many conspiracies involved, the supposed actions of the modern-day Illuminati and the New World Order conspiracy theory are the main topics.

Whether someone believes the Illuminati exists today or not does not change the fact that the Illuminati did, in fact, exist in the late 18th century. The Illuminati, a secret society, was founded in 1776 by Adam Weishaupt (“The Illuminati” par. 1). Adam Weishaupt was a former Jesuit [type of education and a branch off of Catholicism] and professor at the University of Ingolstadt in Germany (“The Illuminati” par. 1). Adam Weishaupt created the Illuminati (which was funded by the International Bankers) in hopes of creating a “one world government” (talked about later) and subjugating all religions and governments in the process (“History of the Illuminati” par. 1). “Some trace the Illuminati back to the Knights Templar, to Gnostic cults, to ancient Egypt, and even to Atlantis” (“The Illuminati” par. 2). Even though the Illuminati started in the 1760’s, some people believe it was started much earlier than that. The Illuminati claim that they helped the Revolutionary War along to weaken the British and to starting the French Revolution to destroy the French Empire (“History of the Illuminati” par. 2). “At their height, the Illuminati claimed over two thousand members…including Goethe, Herder, and many other prominent nobles and reformers” (“The Illuminati” par. 4).
