There have been many killers out there but the Zodiac is one of a kind. He killed tons of people, he would send letters and threats to kill dozens to the police and local news stations, even though the crime was unsolved there are many suspects. The zodiac claimed to have started killing in 1966 by the murder of Cheri Jo Bates and only one month later someone mailed 3 nearly identical handwritten letters which said “The Confession” which started out by saying “She had to die” and was signed with a letter “Z”at the bottom of the paper (Butterfield). One year later two teenagers, Betty Jenson and David Faraday, were parked on the side of the road were later found dead outside of their car which had been shot. The the boy had been alive, but he died on the way to the hospital.

In the late 1960’s, the Zodiac Killer, was responsible for the victims who were murdered in his attacks. The notorious serial killer was never brought to justice, and his identity is still a mystery. Over 40 years ago, there were numerous, shocking murders committed in California, and to this day, the killer has never been found. The shocking crimes frightened many people, other than just the San Francisco area (Haugen 2). People have formed conspiracies to whom the killer may be, but no one has been able to reveal the mystery man.
On October 30 1966 Cheri Jo Bates was the first victim of the zodiac killer she was only 18. After all this he sent the police a letter telling them every detail of the crime and home he did it. He disconnected the coil and waited for her to come out of the library. When she cam... ... middle of paper ... ... one that is unsolved like many others but this one is always talked about and I like it and dislike this case.
