History is the study man past chronological recorded events. Since the beginning of the world a lot have happened politically, socially, historically and economically. In this paper we shall examine the western world historically. Specifically we will examine the period between 500 B.C and 1500 A.D. Examine the most significant person, event, movement or occurrence. This period was the medieval period that was an era experienced in Europe during this time. The dark ages were also experienced during this time between 500 A.D and 900 A.D. This period starts in the fall of the Roman Empire which witnessed decay everywhere . The weight of poverty, insecurity and isolation was too great to permit the production of literary artistic and scholarly master pieces. There was little cultural creativity in Europe in the 1000A.D to the latter part of the middle ages when intellectual development began to flower during the renaissance which began in 1300 A.D. Renaissance was realized by reviving the ancient Greek and roman learning. This saw the transformation of Europe from medieval to modern world. Scholars at this time felt that they needed to bring about the rebirth of civilization. There were achievements in both arts and sciences. There were also big concerns in religious matters; in short this movement was not religious and worldly to the extent that serious debates and question of faith and salvation took place. Eventually it led to reformation movement which split the Christian church down in the middle . Renaissance began in Italy and as time went by it spread to France, Germany, England and Low Countries. The movement hardly touched the Scandinavian, Portugal and Spain. The question at this point and time was what was explains the ... ... middle of paper ... ... anatomy and developed statutes showing muscle joints and other body parts. These pictures were always naked. In architecture many of the elements used in building were adopted from ancient roman villa, palaces and secular buildings. Houses were painted with glass window . Music in northern Europe had symbol tunes of folksongs, dances and Christian songs. Music instruments were either developed locally or imported like the violin, organ with key board, pedal and stalks and polish army drum. Playing of music became the way of life at the port of the king. From the above discussion it is evident that the period between 500B.C and 1500 A.D was a period of world rebirth. Renaissance or the rebirth of the world was invented during this period. There was transformation in all aspects of life i.e. politically, socially and economically. This is evident from the discussion.
