Movies have brought happiness to millions of people around the world. Directors are the main force behind the creation of this happiness. However, this job is not easy. Film directors are people that pull all of the film together with their expertise and eye for beauty, which explains why they are paid around 70,000 dollars and why this career demands specific qualifications. Many directors join the Directors Guild of America when coming into the profession.
All of the movies that are produced and made in India are exported to other countries, including America, England, Russia. Indian people, however, watch these movies a lot more because they are so important to them. (Ninian, pg 1) Now the big question is why is Bollywood so important to India? Well it’s a few reasons. First off, it does supply a lot of jobs for people, Bollywood supplies jobs for more then three hundred thousand people and is India’s sixth biggest industry.

The hardship that the film industry has come over helped make it one of the largest industries in the world. Many talented and creative people work under that industry and many other people are trying their best to get in. With the exception of one or two films, and a few more that he helped with, Griffith was no longer a crucial part of the film industry. But even though Griffith was no longer making films, he had done his part. He had successfully expanded the audience for cinema, introduced the feature film to America, and created one of the first blockbusters ever. The techniques he used to make his films so great such as the wide shot, close up, and quick cut are still key components of modern films. It is Griffith's legacy that makes him " “single most important individual in the development of film as an art” (Drew).
In 1920, Warner Bros. was just a small company looking for ways to expand. So they took a chance on the idea of talking films when they heard of a device called the Vitaphone going for sale. It was a sound-on-disc system that had no interest from the bigger film industries. In 1926, Warner Bros. deputed their first release of film with sound of Don Juan. This became a major breakthrough, earning Warner Bros. millions of dollars and spreading to theaters all over the country.

The three directors talked about in this paper are the most successful at delivering a breathtaking style and direction to their films. Baz Luhrmann, Wes Anderson, and Martin Scorsese have produced and directed films over decades and each film as impacted not only the United States but worldwide. With the unmistakable trademarks that each director has, it is very easy to feel sucked into the world in which they are shaping around you and the story. Because of these three directors, the film world and industry has been revolutionized for many centuries to come.
We are forced to learn the characters thoughts and feelings. The hard work and artistic skill that goes into these magnificent films is not an easy thing to mimic. Out of the thousands of movies released worldwide each year only a handful are truly worthy of the label film art. Most of the great movies are either produced by a multi million dollar company that hired a director with quite a bit of experience under his belt, or are made with little money and slowly find their way into the film business due to increasing popularity because of the good writing and talented though unknown actors in the film. These small films are a great way to get a foot in the door of the giant Hollywood business.
